My dad spent his career building a small, independent allergy practice in Augusta, Georgia. It was our family business and it was his life's work. When it came time for him to retire, he wanted to pass it on to someone who would continue that work but no one wanted it. Not because it wasn't meaningful, but because independent practice wasn't valued anymore. What was valued was the land. Today there's a McDonald's where his practice used to be. We're grateful for the income it provides my parents but that's not what was supposed to be there. And yet here I am, running my own independent practice in Austin. Maybe that's crazy after watching what my dad went through. But I'm not doing this because it's easy, I'm doing it because it needs to be done. If we're not honest about how hard this is, we can't fix it. Independent physicians need to be valued. They need to be paid fairly. And when they retire, their work should be worth passing on. A few weeks ago the Irish government informed the EU that they would not go along with demands to force hate speech laws on the people of Ireland. Today, the European Commission Against Racism and Intolerance has once again urged Ireland to implement hate speech laws. But even regime friendly media is reacting negatively to this news. There will never be hate speech laws in Ireland, it's time for the tyrants at the European Commission to accept that.

Campos: I'd say pretty much everyone in the room supported what I had to say...I think it's less of a question of if they supported me, and more about their willingness to say the quiet part out loud. I think it's very easy for me to make those kinds of remarks when my livelihood does not rely on corporate media and whoever is pulling the strings at every outlet. So it's a lot scarier for them to speak out against the direction of CBS, especially those who work directly under it. But that's not to say that they don't oppose what's going on. It's just that oftentimes they lack the courage, or there's too much on the line for them to say something about it. And that's not me saying it's a good thing that they're not saying anything — it's just the reality.
