Dan, as a Navy veteran, Shawns Navy background, and my own retirement from the Navy, my opinion—based on casual observation of your actions over the years—is that you have forgotten how to be an honest person. Honor, courage, and commitment aren't just words; they form a creed we live by, and it seems you have strayed from this standard. I don't personally know Shawn, but from what I’ve observed, he is an honorable person who upholds these values. When multiple Sailors publicly speak out against another Sailor, it’s often an indication that their concerns are valid and worth considering. When you realize that the hole you’re digging is getting deeper, it’s time to stop digging and reassess your actions rather than continue to jeopardize what's left of your reputation and integrity.
