Trump Solicitor General D. John Sauer tells Justice Amy Coney Barrett that Trump "generally" tries to respect federal court decisions but he has the "right" to disregard legal opinions he personally disagrees with. Coney Barrett seems to be in disbelief.

Coney Barrett asked Sauer if he really believed Trump's argument as a "longstanding policy" of past presidents. Sauer says yes, he thinks it is. That seemed to really catch Coney Barrett off guard.

There is no doubt he thinks, I’m above the law. Prepare yourselves because WE will need to stop a dictatorship.

So Sauer presents Trump’s disdain of the courts and rule of law directly to them—wow

This admin is unhinged

She’s in disbelief? Really? What universe is she living in? If his health holds out, DJT will make serious play for a 3rd term. And if SCOTUS opposes it they could find their very lives in danger. That’s who you’re dealing with.

Oh F-ck! Sauer/Trump now have an Amy Coney Barrett problem at the least, but we cannot count out the rest of SCOTUS yet perhaps!

Wow. We may not survive this administration or rather, our Constitution, seperation of powers and checks and balances, may not survive. Anybody who is actually paying attention would agree.

Justice Barrett was talking about PRECEDENTS, not “presidents”. And the policy has always been to follow out of circuit precedent if it was legally sound, but it was NEVER binding.

Here is the Solicitor General of the United States of America stating that the president and the Justice Department don’t always respect legal precedent. And he said it out loud in front of the Supreme Court. In front of 9 Supreme Court justices.

Jaw dropping!

Where was this argument when Biden did it? She’s a disgrace.
