If money enters your life before discipline does, validation will destroy what prosperity was trying to build. AND GUESS WHAT? Not everybody gets lucky enough to stage a comeback. Think. Money is only useful… and stays longer… with people who understand the sickness that comes with it. One of the biggest sicknesses is seeking validation. That need to impress will bury you in the long run. Because almost everything you do for yourself or for others will start being measured by applause instead of peace…usefulness… and sustainability. Behind the scenes, it will always be you vs you.

It's wild to hear this, and feel the validation, from folks who don't even play Destiny, or who barely do. Bungie not resetting everything and dropping a Destiny 3, will always be the biggest throw of all time, and a huge head-scratcher for the rest of my life.

You can still be afraid, it's natural, fear keeps you alive, it's biological... but it's greater when you OVERCOME it to do good and be heroic for the sake of others. Because that's hat a GL should be a hero who puts others above himself. Like looking death in the face and not flinching.
