Thanks Kev. It just confirms to me that the low ratings from some media is because it wasn’t focused on tarnishing MJs reputation. Those folks wanted a bludgeoning not a celebration of the genius he was. Everyone I know that came in wanting to celebrate MJ - likes the movie

Ok Kev, thanks for this. The movie will grab your heart that's for sure. Now I almost forgive you for the whole sugar on grits debacle...almost 🙃😆

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Had plenty of new info I myself didn’t know that while Mike was on that legendary run he was at home with his brothers watching movies at home with his mom every night

Saw it last night in theaters and this is an honest and fair review!!

@rsfkj1 I enjoyed it very much!

MJ having crip homies been a thing and in a couple videos those blue flags the dancers had wasn't wardrobe lol DJ Quik told mfs

I saw it last night and I agree. Jaafar was great. I think the legal issues with other people is why so much got cut out. I felt like it felt like a musical with pieces of his life put between his music. I wish they did more in the Off The Wall era. The ending felt like a concert

The Blue Gangster lore is one of the best parts of the #MichaelMovie

Very fair. It’s not that it’s not good, it’s just not as great as it could’ve been and that’s hard to sit with when talking about the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen.

Extremely accurate. I was shocked by the lack of Quincy Jones and MJ studio sessions and behind the scenes of songs. Quincy was barely in it, that’s my biggest critique of it.

It's "Michael v Joe" is the perfect description. It's a hero's tale about overcoming the monster. If you wanted a tell-all dark deep dive into all the wild rumours about his life, go watch the docs. Why did anyone expect a movie produced by his family to show any of that? 😂

@OhThatsAT Great analysis I thought it was great I’m Going again this weekend to see it again

The Human Nature scene had us in tears both times we’ve seen it & plan to go back! Long Live The King 🫶🏽

I saw the movie and as a fan I wasn’t expecting to learn anything new. For me, I loved the music and just seeing him again, even with Jafaar as the actor was enough. It was nostalgic, upbeat and sad all at the same time. Taking my son on Sunday.

@_jessycarenee Totally agreed!! Let’s not forget about young Michael, he did a really good job as well!!

🌟🌟 #michaelmovie 🌟🌟

Good review Kev but you never gave it a rating so we could compare or combat the rotten tomatoes rating you left on the screen the whole time lol

"You're fired. I'm going to my room" 🤣😂

This is a perfect description. It basically showed all the battles, steps & internal struggles Michael took to gain his independence to be looked at as an adult independent artist while celebrating the brilliance & magic of his performances. Jaafar is absolutely amazing as MJ

Critics need to realize that they have seriously lost your credibility and why they it’s all fun and games now be mindful that you will soon be replaced by AI

Saw it last night and Gen Z was in there cutting up! Can’t wait for the Theater sanctioned singalong/dancealong versions 🕺🏾💃🏽

Great review Kev. It was indeed more of a “celebration” and him showing, (ya’ll must have forgotten) type of film. 2 of my biggest issues if i’m being super picky is “Bubbles” and “Where’s Janet”?

To me my only issue it felt too short, like a soon as it seemed like it was getting to the real best parts of MJs career (late 80's early 90s) "boom" credits roll. Like it actually catches you off guard like damn it's over it?

Thanks Kev. Hope critical people put thinking caps on. Assuming movie is heavy on John Branca-who was not only MJ’s attorney but is also co-executer of his estate along with John McClain. Delayed a year, as they cut out so much & had to reshoot. MJ already told us what was up🤔

It so much they couldnt cover with in 2 hrs and they to cut scenes due to legal reasons. But the movie feels like lightning. Like i couldnt believe it was that fast.

@Murkem64 I'm going to see it for my birthday next weekend! I already know all the facts about Michael's life, so I don't need it to be something new on that level. I just want to relive moments with Michael thru his amazing nephew. 🥰

Thank you Kev. I never trust the critics.

When you say, "Favorite Bio Pic performance from an actor since Jamie Foxx in Ray". The important question is where is Ray ranked in your top 10 cause if it's #1 I'm curious to know where Chadwick Boseman 42, Get on Up, Marshall are ranked or is this just musical biopic?

If you are not on Spielberg's level, I DID NOT need you to make this movie.

I had no idea he was still living in his parents house or fired Joe Jackson either. The movie was definitely mad relatable. In terms of pacing, i can see why you would say that in a sense, it almsot seems like it jumped the gun in the scenes. Overall, amazing movie. Very heavy.

I went to see it today and absolutely loved it. I experienced all the emotions and I learnt a lot, which added so may dimensions to the Michael I grew up with. Loved Coleman and Jafaar’s performances. Thank you for this review because it helped me better understand what I watched

Killed this review 💯💯💯 outstanding review

The ending was filthy and Jaafar absolutely ate.

I thought the pacing was replicating how Mike prolly felt ...his life seemed to happen so fast at times and then the "down" moments for him felt like ETERNITY so he would try to make light in others' shine brighter. Human Nature frfr

Yall love trying to paint Joe Jackson as this monster when he made them kids millionaire Joe didn’t do anything any other parent around that time didn’t do he probably did far less if we being honest

Here’s how Michael reacted to the nudes 😂 It’s long, but you’re going to roll on the floor 🤣
