The runway is not wavy for those who are curious. A telephoto lens compresses distance stacking layers of shimmering air along the line of sight. This exaggerates the wavy effect making small distortions look like large waves.

Waiting to board a Lufthansa A380 a couple years ago, I counted the crew as they boarded … 19 people. The thing was massive and an absolute delight to fly.

What good is an airplane that can land at just 63 airports worldwide? The 737 can use 900+ airports. History judged the business model assumptions of the A380 to be faulty.
