Hezbollah fired rockets this morning at Kiryat Shmona, a northern Israeli city of more than 20,000 residents. Only the successful interception by the IDF prevented what could have been a deadly attack on civilians, including children. In the video, you can see the interception overhead while families, workers, and ordinary citizens are forced to abandon their daily routines and run for shelter. This is the reality Israelis continue to live with. This is Hezbollah's idea of a ceasefire. It should be remembered that Israel agreed to refrain from striking Hezbollah command centers in Beirut on the condition that Hezbollah would stop attacking Israeli towns and villages. This morning's attack is yet another blatant violation of that understanding.

Sometime in the near future, there will be a war with Lebanon. Sadly, it seems inevitable. So before the world screams its outrage toward Israel for attacking poor innocent Lebanon, let me tell you what Hezbollah did this week: Here's a recap of week June 9-15: ⁃96 barrages of rockets, anti-tank missiles and explosive drones fired by Hezbollah toward northern Israeli cities, including Haïfa, Tiberias and Safed. ⁃11 barrages of rockets and drones fired by Hamas toward the Israeli-Gazan border. A barrage of rockets can include as many as 50 or 100 projectiles sent within minutes. For example, on June 12th, 90 projectiles were fired by Hezbollah at 8:43, then 70 projectiles at 9:38. Over 215 rockets were fired toward northern Israeli cities just that day. Dozens of fires broke out in the North of Israel because of the rockets, and at least 2 people were injured. This is one week only - Hezbollah has fired thousands of rockets since October 7. Around 100,000 Israelis are still waiting to come home in the North. No country in the world would ever accept this. Israel must protect its citizens against Hezbollah.

Israeli Defense Minister Katz said the IDF may take control of territory in Lebanon if the Lebanese government fails to stop Hezbollah from attacking Israel. "I warned the President of Lebanon that if the Lebanese government does not know how to control the territory and prevent Hezbollah from threatening the northern communities and firing toward Israel, we will take the territory and do it ourselves," Kayz said. He added that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the IDF to prepare to expand operations in Lebanon to restore security to Israel’s northern communities.

On Tuesday, 28/04/2026, Hezbollah issued 6 military statements as follows: 1- Hezbollah: At 13:00, in response to the demolition of homes in southern Lebanon, we targeted an Israeli military bulldozer while it was demolishing houses in the city of Bint Jbeil with an attack drone, achieving a direct hit. 2- Hezbollah: At 13:00, in response to attacks on villages in southern Lebanon that resulted in martyrs and civilian injuries, we targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the town square of Al-Qantara with an attack drone, achieving a direct hit. 3- Hezbollah: At 14:00, in response to attacks on villages and the demolition of homes in southern Lebanon, we targeted a Merkava tank in the town square of Al-Qantara with an attack drone, achieving a direct hit. 4- Hezbollah: At 18:10, in response to violations of Lebanese airspace, we shot down an Israeli drone of the Hermes 900 type over the town of Al-Qantara with a surface-to-air missile. 5- Hezbollah: At 18:30, in response to attacks on villages in southern Lebanon that resulted in martyrs and civilian injuries, we targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the town of Al-Taybeh with a swarm of attack drones. 6- Hezbollah: At 23:20, in response to attacks on villages in southern Lebanon that resulted in martyrs and civilian injuries, we targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the newly established Namer al-Jamal site with a swarm of attack drones, achieving a direct hit.
