I think its because the PS4 and PS5 aint tooo different on game catalogue for the longest time. Plus it had the forever games... plus alot more people are just struggling finacially and still play fortnite.

Nah this ain't it, ps5 is the only playstation I haven't owned simply because its not worth it. Half the exclusives I've already played on ps4 and I'll wait to play the rest on ps6. This half assed exclusive catalogue isn't worth the jump.

its 2025 back in 2005 there was nothing else to do media wise besides watch dvds and tv new gen got a lifetime of media they can consume so why would they get waste 500 on a ps5 to play 3 games

my take is that there isn’t that much of a justification to go from ps4 to ps5. the generational leap just isn’t large enough for some to make the commitment. the ps4’s library also seems to be more impressive than the ps5’s - even to this day. getting a ps5 was a no brainer for me because my last playstation before it was the ps2. but if i had owned a ps4, id be a bit hesitant to get the ps5. it’s less emotional attachment and more “is it really worth it,” imo.

So stupid. Some people might not have spare money to buy a new console or maybe gaming is not one of their priorities.

Not much reason to get a ps5 over a ps4, ps4 still gets most of the new games and the graphical differences are honestly pretty slim compared to most other generational leaps

I'm a PC user but I'm gonna say its cus the PS5 fucking sucks like Sure It makes games load faster but Compare it too ps4 launch how many new games bangers out in a year? 5 years out now and still PS5 barely has shit

The improvements between the PS4 and the PS5 doesn't feel like a big leap. In many aspects of the PS5 it has regressed. The menu looks ass, no themes, still paying for online multiplayer, the online server's security has not improved.

I loved my PS4 some of my favorite games were on that console. I also had the God of War special edition PS4 a beautiful console. It’s not about the new console it’s about the experiences you got from the console. My PS5 is lovely as well lol i love Sony

No. I blame publishers and developers. They keep making games for PS4. One of the biggest reasons why many jumped to next console was due to the fact that many games were not going to their current console. So they were forced. That’s not happening much right now.

This is wild when you factor in most ps5 users skipped the ps4 entirely, myself included

As somebody who plays on next gen, unless you’re buying it for exclusives it’s really not all that worth it to upgrade. If you don’t care about gaming enough to prioritize an upgrade you’re not gonna care about the hardware differences bc every game is cross gen and platform now
