To all these Protestants who claim you are former Catholics, and you say that the Catholic Church taught you not to read the Bible or that you should stay away from the Bible, and that you can't understand it, only the Church can, quit creating calumny and falsehoods. I have literally walked into Mass and they have Bibles out in stands. You can literally contact your diocese and they'll mail you a Bible, as well as the Catechism. I know because I've done it. Vatican II, even the Catechism of the Catholic Church, requires Christians to read the Bible, so just stop with the calumny. There are a lot of things I disagree with in the Catholic Church, but this is not one of them. So stop lying. The Catholic Church teaches to read the Bible. They have study Bibles. He lies and says no one is trying to push Sharia (they are), and draws a false equivalency to Christian Canon law. Canon law determines how Christian leaders, churches, and Christians should live, but Canon law is limited to affairs of the Church (spiritual penalties). Canon law grants great autonomy to the state. Sharia law is MUCH more comprehensive, governing all aspects of life, and historically, and according to many contemporary Islamic clerics, dictates the affairs of the state. When in the minority in the West, Muslims will play by the rules, moderate their stances (lie), and they will use intersectional alliances to take advantage of their miniority status. Once they reach a population tipping point they will exert massive power, institute Sharia, and use our own secular government to do so.

Prior to the Council of Trent in 1545 there was no such thing as an agreed upon “Roman Catholic Bible.” Cardinal Ximenez (who died in 1517 - the very year Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg) in the preface to his Complutensian Polyglot Bible described the 7 books of the Deutercanon as “books outside the canon.” He explains that their purpose is to be “received by the Church rather for the edification of the people than for the authoritative confirmation of ecclesiasitcal doctrines.” In essence, Ximenes’s position was: valuable and edifying for Christians, but outside the primary canon and insufficient by themselves to establish doctrine.

Practicing Roman Catholics are not Christians. They are religious philosophers and pagans. They will use Christianity, the Bible and church history to manipulate its credibility and authority in any given culture. Just examine Catechism paragraph 846, which states that those who refuse to enter or remain in the Catholic Church cannot be saved. As former Catholics, we understand that the church does not see us as truly saved, nor does it see any non-Catholics as saved, since it claims to be the one true church. This is my facsimile copy of Codex Sinaiticus, the first few major codices like the original this is a photocopy of, are our very first versions of what we today would consider a Genesis to Revelation copy of the Bible. Codex Sinaiticus took upwards of nearly 400 sheep to make and would have cost the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of dollars in today’s currency. By the 4th century when this was made, the perspective would have been that this contained the scripture more than that it was scripture. All of these major early codices operated as mini ancient libraries. And all of our earliest examples of them: whether that’s Codex Sinaiticus, Alexandrinus, Vaticanus, Washingtonianus, etc., have Christian books included within the contents of their covers that we today don’t consider scripture. So it is completely incorrect to claim that early church inclusion in a codex equates to scriptural reception. That’s just not true unless you’re willing to argue books like 4th Maccabees, The Shephered of Hermas, Epistle of Barnabas, and 1st Clement and 2nd Clement, that no church today accepts as scripture, should be included within your Bible. Likewise, the church recognizing books does not mean that their ability to do so gives them the authority. To say that the church gave us our Bible is like saying that the postal service gave you your mail. Your letter carrier is not the progenitor of the mail you receive. Those were written prior to, and even despite, your mail man or woman eventually getting them in your mailbox. The church is the servant and subsidiary of scripture, not the origin.
