I’m proud to learn that the Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites are now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List at the 48th World Heritage Committee in Busan, this 1,000-year-old porcelain capital becomes China’s 61st World Heritage site, and the first to fill the “porcelain” gap in the World Heritage List. Jiangxi Culture: The Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites were inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List on July 25 during the 48th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, South Korea, becoming China's 61st World Heritage site. At the World Heritage Committee session, members of the Jiangxi delegation also extended a warm invitation to visitors from around the world to experience the timeless charm of Jingdezhen and discover the rich cultural heritage of Jiangxi.
