Heroic rescue just now in Dun Laoghaire.

Seriously impressive response. Thankfully the person was saved and taken to hospital.

I didn't see how the person ended up in the water. But they were really struggling. Brave people were really trying to help but the waves were really big and they couldn't reach them. @RNLIDunLaoghair, the Guards and other rescue services prevented a serious tragedy.

The RNLI do trojan work. Even more impressive when the lifeboat crews are volunteers.

How did they end up in the water given the very clear weather warning??

@jasperlfc Only on the internet would you find anger, judgment and mockery when a volunteer service rescues a drowning child. The replies to this have got me worked up. Massive shout out to @RNLI volunteers. I hope the poor girl is back home now.

Why the hell do people put emergency services personnel in danger when it’s clear it’s not safe conditions to be in the water 🤬

Jesus my heart was in my mouth watching that rescue, unreal work from @RNLI and especially the rescuer in the water. You are all earth angels. Hope the person they rescued is doing ok ♥️
