Former NFL QB Teddy Bridgewater, who retired from the league to become a high school football coach, is truly hands-on with his team. In a recent practice, he stepped in as quarterback and threw a touchdown on a swift 3-play drive. 👏👏👏

One of the actors from I Swear, a film about the life of Tourette’s sufferer John Davidson, has come out in support of him following the BAFTAs controversy. The film is based on Davidson’s life, and he also appears in it. At the ceremony, Davidson was heard shouting several profanities, including a derogatory term aimed at Black people, as a result of his condition. His co-star stressed that Tourette’s is a neurological disorder people have no control over and that John had every right to attend the BAFTAs.

First interview with Wagner at Birmingham City. A few things of note: 1. Transfer conversations began in December (which we already knew). The project gave him “goosebumps.” 2. He is expected to contribute immediately. No surprise, as he is still in shape given how recently the MLS season ended for Philadelphia. 3. Tom Brady played a significant role in making this happen. In the five-minute video, Brady is mentioned multiple times by Kai Wagner, and roughly half of the interview touches on Brady and his involvement. #doop #MLS #BCFC #eflchampionship 📹: Birmingham City

Tom Brady breaks down what it takes to succeed at anything, emphasizing discipline, consistency, and a relentless commitment to improvement. Tom Brady is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen. Selected 199th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, he rose from an overlooked pick into one of the most famous draft steals in sports history. His career, spanning more than two decades, was defined by leadership, poise under pressure, and remarkable longevity. With the Patriots, Brady guided the team to six Super Bowl titles and nine Super Bowl appearances. In 2020, he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and silenced doubts about his success being system-driven by winning a seventh Super Bowl in his first season, becoming the oldest quarterback to do so. In addition to championships, Brady set numerous NFL records, including most career passing touchdowns, passing yards, and playoff victories by a quarterback. His relentless discipline, preparation, and competitive drive redefined athlete longevity and secured his place as one of the most influential figures in modern sports history.

Here's Brent Venables today on the development of Oklahoma's wide receiver room - OU fans will enjoy hearing this: "More precise, more explosive. Trell Harris, in a 7-on-7 period, he got behind the defense and made an explosive play down the field today...That's a group that I'm seeing unit pride for the first time in a few years." #Sooners:

Noah Eagle: Surprise mistake from a veteran quarterback in the biggest moment. Todd Blackledge: I think he knew that he had to get down and get a time-out called...Two plays in this last drive, Will Howard not on top of things with the clock. And it came back to hurt him.

UPDATE: And then this happened. In an individual tackling drill, redshirt junior defensive back Zach Pekarek shocked his teammates by going airborne. Pekarek made some big plays for the Bears last year including a blocked punt. Today he had some fun when he carried the ball in this drill. It was one of the highlights of the day as the Bears finish their second week of spring football. Pekarek is from Burlington in eastern Colorado and played high school football at Ponderosa in Parker. He transfered to UNC over two years ago from Nebraska-Kearney. #STBC #BearWitness

Asked Nuggets coach David Adelman about the season that Jaylen Brown has had, and he gushed about Brown as both a player and a person. "The the elite shooting from mid range is such a big deal in our game, it's the late-clock ability, his overall size, his ability to play in the middle of the floor, which is really hard to come double people and not give up the three point line to a team like they have, I would just say his continued evolution in his game. "He's an elite, All-Star player, two-way player. I just watched him grow over the years, not just the championship year, but with Jayson Tatum, obviously out, more responsibility falls into his hands, and I thought they did a great job building around him for this particular season, with all the shooting that surrounds him." "He's a problem. He's not fun to watch on tape when you have to play against him. I'm a fan of his, just as a pure basketball person, not just as a coach. Actually got to spend some time in Africa, he was such an impressive person. He's good for the NBA. He's going to be a probelm for us tonight." "There was an Africa game that I coach in, that he played in. They used to do that yearly in South Africa. It's an amazing event. He came down there for that. And some of the events that we had to do -- humanitarian stuff, you go out and you see these communities, and just to see his investment in it was really impressive. And he was at a much younger age then. And I remember him in the bubble, speaking up at meetings and things like that." "Some people are born to lead. He definitely stands out as one of those people."

Woman Armed with Pellet Gun Shot by LAPD During Robbery Call Los Angeles, CA - On March 7, 2026, around 11:15 p.m., officers assigned to Southeast Patrol Division responded to a radio call of a Robbery in Progress at a convenience store located at 15300 South Figueroa Street. Upon arrival, the officers observed the suspect, later identified as 53-year-old Cynthia Anne Ivie Akers, standing behind the convenience store’s front counter. The officers issued multiple verbal commands to gain Akers’ compliance; however, those commands were disregarded. Akers then suddenly moved toward the counter, removed a handgun from a zippered bag, and pointed it in the direction of the officers, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS). Akers was struck by gunfire and subsequently taken into custody. The officers immediately rendered medical aid and requested the response of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). LAFD personnel responded to the scene and pronounced Akers deceased. The investigation later determined that the weapon in Akers’ possession was a pellet gun. The item was recovered at the scene and booked as evidence. No officers or additional community members were injured during the incident. #police #crime #policia #polis #polizia #lawenforcement #polizie

🚨🎙️ Ronald Koeman on news of Xavi taking over his role as head coach of the Dutch national team; 🗣️“Xavi is a good coach and he understands the Cruyff philosophy—we both learned that at Barcelona. In terms of attacking football and 4-3-3, it makes sense on paper. But international management is completely different from club football. At Barca, he was used to getting levers, big transfers, and daily training sessions to drill his patterns. With the national team, you don’t get to buy players. You have to adapt to the squad you actually have—something I had to do during my first stint here and at Barcelona. And if he thought the press in Spain was demanding, wait until he plays a back five in Amsterdam or loses a match in Eindhoven. The Dutch public wants winning football and perfect 4-3-3, no excuses. It’s a tough job, but I wish him the best. He’s going to need it.”
