My last girl used to blow up on me with all that ruckus. I told her stop using her period as an excuse to mistreat and abuse me. She said I was being an ass. I said, "you don't treat your girlfriends like that when your period. You don't treat your family like that. You dang sure don't treat your co-workers or boss like that. So you're perfectly able of controlling your behavior." She said I should take it as a compliment she feels safe and comfortable with me to be in a bad mood and show it. I said I don't cuss people out when I'm in a bad mood. I don't insult them, I don't scream at them, I don't rage at every little thing they say and do, I don't publicly try to embarrass people. You're not "in a bad mood" you're deliberately being a bitch and think it's okay because you're on your period and you think there are no consequences. Because if you did that to the students in your college class you'd get kicked out. If you did it to your boss or coworkers, you'd get fired. But me? No consequences. She said I was being a little boy and need to grow a pair if I can't handle her at her worst. I said you handle children, you handle business, and you handle problems. You don't handle grown adults. And I dropped the ultimatum. If you don't start treating me with respect I'm going to stop paying for all your stuff. Now there are consequences. It was "you don't do shit anyway" until them bills came and she was VERY respectful when it came time to pay those bills. It was baby this, and baby that, and she didn't mean it, and she was sorry and it won't happen again and she's learned from her mistakes. So, I paid her stuff and she was good for about two months. Even made jokes during one of her periods, "you really want to yell and scream at me right now don't you"? The next blow up, I showed the camera footage to her family, (I have cameras in the public areas of my house). Her mom and dad said that if I leave her she's not coming back to live with them until I make it right. After that? She never blew up at me again. We dated for about a year after that and we ultimately broke up because she got into her dream school overseas. Thought about the long distance thing, but decided not too. Ladies - your menstrual cycle is not an excuse to emotionally and verbally abuse anyone.
