My guy would make an excellent teacher 👍 And your job should never be just about the paycheck 💵

I taught foods, child development and adult living in a high school for last chance troubled kids. I only filled in as a temporary teacher for a year, but what a year! They were some of the smartest kids of all. They needed love and hands on teaching. I taught them how to cook for restaurants and in adult living we opened a mock gourmet hotdog restaurant. Everyone got to participate from creation of menu, logo, orders, taking orders, running the restaurant, running the register, doing expo, filling the order, prepping, cooking, clean up. They loved it. I loved seeing how each discovered what they were good at. I also taught them how to put oil in a car and check tire pressure. Just some of the things we did. I still see them out and about years later. One gal is now a bar manager at Texas Roadhouse. She often came to school stoned and was on probation, but turned it around. Some had no parents at home or drug addicts for parents, some had babies. One of my guys chased me down at the fair and gave me a hug. I'm retired and a caregiver now, but it was great to make a difference in their lives and they taught me so much.

What do you mean, “He’s not wrong”? He is absolutely legend in telling this stupid excuse for a teacher off with such precision and truth!

This is still a major issue- “teaching” by worksheets. No more textbooks issued when school begins, no more Sunday comics as book covers. Just lazy “teaching”

He's absolutely right. Too many teachers are burned out.

In the 80’s in high school I was a long haired, jean jacket wearing, metal head. We were forgotten about, ignored, looked down on. But there was a light named Miss Fitton. She believed in us and took us aside. She made us feel like we mattered cuz we did. I’ll never forget her.

It's almost like sending your kid to public school is child abuse

@beno1969187 This is how they train teachers. They are given scripts to read. Told the students better be quiet, at all times! And if the teacher can’t handle it…then she/he/it looses their job. I 100% agree with this student. Teaching is no longer teaching. It’s indoctrination.

you would think the teacher would want to jazz it up herself, so she doesn't die of boredom

He's wrong. Socrates, perhaps the greatest teacher ever, asked questions but didn't answer them. He didn't perform, do magic, rap, or sing—he simply questioned eager students who didn't act like prisoners addicted to their phones.

How are people defending this f@g? There were a milion annoying little shits like this I knew in school. Are people actually that shallow? Besides, no one knows what lead up to it, everyone's projecting thier own beliefs onto this video.

it's human nature ... just like any job or career path some are stellar, some middle of the road and some are slackers a teacher can make (or break) any subject ... they can make it fun or boring as all hell

Such disdain and disrespect from those who will never teach. And have no idea of what they speak. Until you've been a teacher yourself, you have no idea of what you're even speaking about. And if you don't know what you're speaking of, then be quiet, or, go do it yourself.
