I’m a Marine who served in Fallujah. We made sure civilians were protected before ourselves. All men woman, children and men who did not wish to fight, were told 2 weeks prior to leave. We went door to door, we only used other heavier munitions when being engaged from a barricaded position. If Marines broke the ROE they were held accountable. I don’t mind the destruction as much as the complete disregard for civilians. We did better, why can’t they?
