We had this a few years ago,our garden and other greenery around the house is small, bought a couple of cheap garden waste bags off amazon, once full, trip to the local tip < 3 miles away, but it’s the thin end of the wedge, total piss take and they keep getting away with it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Same mate I’m lucky to have a tip less than half a mile so all mine goes there and the still taking it for free 🤷‍♂️

Ah, obviously he has no understanding of what his council tax is actually spent on. Perhaps do some homework before you make I’ll-informed judgements on what your tax is spent on.

It’s easy to post this and say he’s a legend, but the reason they’re “doing less” and charging more council tax is because they’re being severely underfunded by the government. It started with the tories and sadly the red tories have persisted with it.

The fall in services and rise in council tax are not due to immigration; they're due to cuts in CONSERVATIVES CENTRAL GOVERNMENT GRANTS. These grants were CUT BY 40% IN REAL TERMS from 2010 to 2020, from £46.5 billion to £28 billion..

This is a great example of the absolute failure of politicians (& the media) to get across to the general public two things - the massive cuts in Govt funding of local councils from 2010-24, while the sharp rise in costs in adult social care & special needs education.
