Whenever people work at my house I always pay. It’s important to support small business and support local. Listen out for the bosh at the end. Dan at OCD cleaning is the best. Bosh

I'm burning it at both ends here and my deepest gratitude to all of you for the support in all the ways you show it. I am blessed, thank you.

A Minnesota business owner told me he's got one foot in South Dakota already. If things don't change in November, he said he's taking the other foot and his business with him. He's not alone. Career politicians make life harder for our families and small business owners by treating them like their own personal ATM. Now is the time for change in Minnesota.

I come from a working family – raised by two small business owners right here in Michigan. That value of hard work has driven me to serve my community. I've been a fighter for Michigan manufacturers in the House and I'm ready to take that fight to the US Senate.

I love Zach Dell's two notebook idea. "I'm the kind of person who needs to write clearly to think clearly." Two different colored notebooks to distinguish when you're working in your business vs working on your business. Working "in" the business (red notebook, at the office): Handling day-to-day operational problems and near-term issues. "When I'm working in the business I'm blocking and tackling and solving problems that are blocking us today. I'm trying to figure out personnel problems and product problems and acute issues that are near term." Working "on" the business (black notebook, at home after hours): Strategic thinking, planning 6–12 months out, war-gaming, and imagining big ideas. "When I'm working on the business I'm thinking six months out, 12 months out, and kind of strategic war gaming and chess playing." Zach deliberately segments his day: office hours for operational work, then time at home (after his wife goes to bed) with no phone or computer, just the black notebook for focused strategy:

Save your self-pity. You earned every consequence coming your way. "I'm going to miss out on all my son's Christmases, his birthdays, and growing up. I'm going to miss out on everything" The audacity is astonishing.

ICE agents in Tennessee detained an illegal alien on his way to pick up his paycheck from his boss. Why wasn’t the boss arrested for hiring an illegal alien? Arresting and fining the business owners is the only way this ends.

Shaq says his father cried for 30 seconds at his own mother's funeral and then got back to business "My father was a mama's boy. When his mother passed away, at the funeral I was like, I gotta be strong for him because he's gonna break down" "He cried 30 seconds and back to business. I asked him, 'Hey man, you all right?' He said, 'I'm all right. She was sick, I knew she was gonna pass away. But I can't be sad, I gotta take care of my family'" "When he passed away, all his powers came to me. I am the glue that holds the family together"

BREAKING: City of Oakland now invoicing small business owners after being burglarized. Snail Bar Owner Andreas: “this is the definition of being kicked while you’re down.” This is the third time Snail Bar has been broken into. Oakland Council President Nikki Bas, after you declared that public safety for Oakland should be defunded by 50%, you can’t start billing small businesses every time they are broken into. It’s insulting and is killing off jobs. The community demands you STOP the practice of destroying small businesses. As Supervisor of Alameda County, my first order of business will be to stop Nikki Bas and the Oakland City Council from destroying small businesses. I stand with small businesses in our community. They provide jobs for our youth and business taxes to support services. #WeWantMOORE #Oakland #MOOREPublicSafety

Small businesses across BC say they’re at a breaking point. New data shows BC small businesses are suffering the worst sales decline in the country. Meanwhile, the NDP government is dismissing those numbers and insisting BC is actually leading the country in small business growth. Tell that to the business owners who are shutting down. To the ones dealing with rising violence, property damage, and costs that keep climbing while support from government falls short. This NDP may want to argue with the numbers, but small businesses are living the consequences. #bcpoli

30-year-old insurance agent reveals he built a $640,000 book of business from $0 and is being paid $1,300,000 in a forced buyout “I've been in the insurance industry for just under 10 years now. I'm property and casualty, and I've built my book of business up from $0 to just over $640,000 in that time.” “The company I work at is now bringing in equity partners, which is changing the structure of our business pretty dramatically. In this buyout, I'm losing ownership of my book of business, but in exchange, I'm being paid two times its value, which equates to just under $1.3 million.” “Will you miss that? Yeah, absolutely. That's still a bit shocking to deal with.” “Overnight millionaire just like that from all his hard work.”

My guest this week is Anupam Tiwari , head of equities at Groww Mutual Fund. Anupam is slowly but steadily building out Groww’s AMC business. He manages the Groww Small cap and Groww Multicap fund which have in a short span given strong results. The Groww small cap fund is up 26% in the past 6 months while the Groww multicap fund has given a 23% return in last one year. On this episode I tried to understand his philosophy of investing in small caps , how to approach them now and what are the big sectors to watch over the next one year. Full episode is out now ✨

He is also working towards his dream of becoming a subinspector, and he hopes to use his success to help others. Education is a powerful weapon to change the world.
