What an absolute load of bull crap! Illegal naked short selling isn’t “short selling”. It’s a flipping crime and part of the reason our markets are scewed up is due to lack of enforcement regarding this illegality! Let’s see how the SEC “enforces” the rules when on blockchain.

The SEC hasn't failed at all. They never once said that they would protect Retail Investors, not once. The SEC is in place to legally support the corruption, then take their cut of it, in the guise of litigation. If you. Cannot see this, you never will.

So the crime is to big to prosecute so let's just let it continue. Business as usual. Nothing to see here just keep putting your hard earned money into one of our systems to suck every nickel out of your pockets for your entire life, but wait we have your best interest at heart

They call short selling healthy liquidity but it's just legalized counterfeiting when there's no transparency or enforcement. Wall Street's favorite cheat code 🤨 $AMC $GME

transparency solves all. if the public has the data, an average sleuth could reveal all the theft from retail.

@johnbrda The failure to do her job as well as knowing the problem exist and is exponentially growing should garner accountability as not enforcing the law has harmed many people. Everyone involved that failed to act should be legally responsible. Including prison time.

And when we reveal all the theft who will prosecute… so far not the FBI AI points out that AABB’s reported 10 billion some say 200 billion naked shorted shares are an insurmountable amount of shares to pay back and the SEC would have to halt trading.. so why would mm’s ever stop

@HesterPeirce if they play such a vital function why not make it transparent? Protect the 1% retail gets the shaft 24/7. Retail will win.

There is no transparency or even accountability for the shorts. SEC assists the hedgefunds manipulating everything.

💯! Like “immigrants” vs “‘illegal’ immigrants,” liars play these word games to fool the general public. By doing so they prove to be untrustworthy, and shouldn’t be anywhere near positions of trust and authority, especially at the @SECGov!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Shorting has a role, but not during a global pandemic when people were forced to stay home and brick and mortar stores suffered. @HesterPeirce should be known as Hester the Retail Investor Molester!

They are scared to death of transparency because then we could really see where all that off exchange volume is REALLY going. My guess....internalizing and offshoring to limit reporting requirements.

ILLEGAL NAKED SHORTING vs Short Selling ILLEGAL NAKED SHORT SELLING is a prohibited practice in the stock market where investors sell shares without actually borrowing them or ensuring that they can be borrowed, and without the intention of delivering them. This practice violates U.S. securities laws and regulations set by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Breaking it down: 1.SHORT SELLING (Legal Form): In a standard short sale, an investor borrows shares from a broker and sells them on the open market, hoping to buy them back later at a lower price to make a profit. The borrowed shares are delivered to the buyer at the time of sale. 2.NAKED SHORT SELLING: In naked short selling, the investor skips the step of borrowing the shares or even ensuring they can be borrowed. They sell the stock without having possession or borrowing rights, leading to a “FAILURE TO DELIVER” when it’s time to hand over the shares to the buyer. 3.When It Becomes ILLEGAL: NAKED SHORT SELLING BECOMES ILLEGAL when it’s used to manipulate the market, such as artificially driving down a stock’s price by creating an illusion of excess supply. The SEC cracked down on this practice through regulations like Regulation SHO (REG SHO) (implemented in 2005), which requires brokers to locate and secure shares before allowing short sales. Key Issues with Illegal Naked Short Selling: •Market Manipulation: It can distort supply and demand, misleading investors about the stock’s actual value. •Price Suppression: Excessive shorting without real shares can push a stock’s price down unfairly, harming companies and investors. •“Failure to Deliver”: If the seller never delivers the shares, it undermines the integrity of the market. Real-World Example: During the 2008 financial crisis, illegal naked short selling was accused of exacerbating the collapse of some financial institutions. The SEC responded by imposing temporary bans on short selling for certain stocks and tightening regulations. #DJT #GME #AMC HYMC MMTLP TSLA
