Question for a future me set up on 3D vtuber: You use a webcam or a phone for face tracking? I was thinking to switch to 3D and use something like kinect to full body tracking, but for face tracking i dunno how it works.. Any suggestions/tips?

Ok thats noted, but what you'll suggest if (in my idea) would move around kinda like Fillian? like in a small room? at some point the phone would lose track of the face... And definetly aint mounting myself in VR for just face tracking....

There are options for mounting your phone to a head strap for face tracking, but Fillian uses Full body tracking within Virtual Reality and personally it's the best way to do full body tracking at the moment. So getting a VR headset with face tracking would be best.

I needed this because I was dealing with mouth clipping in warudo glad to know what setting to tweak!

I really do need to retire using vseeface and move on to Warudo or Vnyan for my models.

how's the tracking work if we don't have an iphone?

Tracking can be achieved by using a webcam and the built in MediaPipe tracking or an application like XR Animator which can track more than just your face but the rest of your body as well. It won't be anywhere near as high of quality as an iPhone, sadly there's no other option for that level of detail, but it'll get the job done.

I recorded one and am having it edited now. It's not going to be perfect and will require some extra work, but I think it's personally better than having the entire process automated cause most solutions don't get it perfect.

With all these extra settings in warudo, how does that affect the cpu/gpu? does it add anything?

This doesn't add any extra performance cost. It's just options already built into the modules you'd normally be running.
