Hey Bambu Lab this is a functioning A1 brought in for service. Why is the Ntc thermistor on the board getting to over 100C?? We have over 60 machines with identical issues that have caused machines to melt. This is a fire hazard Done live:

You are a paid actor and it shows that Prusa is fighting for survival with their expensive junk. It doesn’t take long to see that you hype up every tiny thing from Prusa as some huge innovation, while only writing negatively about Bambu. I own several A1, H2D, and X1C printers myself, all of them still work perfectly like on day one, unlike the Prusa mk3 crap and so on…

@BambulabGlobal You clearly didn't watch the stream. Go ahead. We all can wait.

@CarbonX89 @BambulabGlobal What normal person is going to watch your 3h live stream? You didn’t even provide a time stamp of where you perform this test.

@CarbonX89 @BambulabGlobal about 1500 people so far, but testing starts around 45min in when we get it apart after fixing other stuff, then thermaling around 1hr in. The first is the same as the others. Its a stream, I will have to go make chapters later, but next weeks Friday video will be all about this

@BambulabGlobal This is a long documented fire hazard that they refuse to fix. If you're on 240V, you can actualy have your A1 burst into flames. Common in australia

This was probably a last-minute fix while they were doing compliance and realized for some reason they had too high of an inrush current. A good design typically involves a resistor and a relay to bypass it, but clearly they believed this to be sufficient for the power levels they were running. If this is a defect, then it's probably because the NTC fails to reduce its resistance sufficiently. These fail after a few years of being hot and darken the surrounding PCB sometimes. All of these thermally or voltage-active components tend to eventually break down like a MOV. They are a major source of failures in ECM motors for HVAC.

@BambulabGlobal Sorry for the upcoming profanity. Don't use a ducking thermistor! Pt1000 are not thermistors! They are not thermocouple! They are a different category Use Pt1000 RTDs!

@BambulabGlobal Who goes 100°c on a A1?

@BambulabGlobal This is on the internals. Not the hotend. The part is rated, hilariously, for this, but clearly nothing else around it is. More testing has to be done.. need others with thermal cams! But yes, this isn't safe IMO. Same issue we saw with Qidi and heat of internal components.
