What do you dream about? Me? I dream about my loved ones, family, friends, and people who inspire me (some I know some I don’t). But in my dreams we exist together in this beautiful realm. When I dream I can feel GOD’s blessings upon me and I know anything is possible. I even at times dream of rhymes and songs which I love. I thank the MOST HIGH for allowing me to dream. I want to thank and honor the spirit of Aretha Franklin. And to her family…supreme gratitude for allowing us to sample one of her classics. It really blessed our song and took it up to a higher level. Aretha is one of my favorite artists of all time. GOD Bless her soul. I want to thank our director Raven Jackson for making such a special piece of art. Also Brian “B.Kyle” Atkins for his work through the years which contributed to this piece. And Andre “DreVinci” Jones for his great work which also helped to make this video special. Thanks to all who worked on the crew and all who appeared in the video throughout these steps in time. To say that hockey has meant a lot to me is the understatement of the year. As a kid it gave me a dream and a community. Today it’s given me opportunities like this, to be a part of the #NHLAllStar competition. I have so much love and appreciation for this sport. Thank you for making this guys dream come true.

I don't have a chance to talk about it a lot, but I love Chinese culture and I've been practicing traditional Chinese martial arts for over 10 years. I just won silver in a martial arts competition for a stick form, so I thought I'd share the video with you. I also want to give a shoutout to my friend Byron Jacobs who has done A TON to promote Chinese martial arts and gave me some pointers before the competition. He's got a great YouTube channel which I recommend you check out and an absolutely excellent book on Xing Yi Quan that I also recommend you pick up! —Chris
