Hey, elbows-up crowd... how are those elbows doing? Because while you were all racing to see who could get theirs up the fastest and highest, Mark Carney was promising "Canada Strong," "Buy Canadian," especially Canadian steel, and that we were going to be our own best customer. Well, the...

So it's "I know this capacity doesn't exist, but I'll just blame him anyway". Pathetic. The NEP would have created demand to build this infrastructure decades ago. But to own the libs the cons decided to discount it and be dependent on the US refineries instead.

Here... let me educate you before your village starts passing around lost idiot posters. Yeah, there are only a handful of facilities capable of building modules on this scale. But do you know where one of the places capable of building massive LNG modules happens to be? TEXAS! So maybe if Carney had actually delivered on his promise to negotiate a new economic and security deal with Trump, instead of Canada and the U.S. ending up deeper in a trade war, sourcing something like this from our closest neighbour might have been a hell of a lot more commercially attractive. Instead, the talks blew up late on August 21, the first day of advance voting in a series of federal by-elections, including one in Quebec. Carney emerged the next morning warning about the protection of the French language and our culture. People were literally posting videos as though Trump wanted to stop Quebecers from speaking French. Turns out the actual dispute was considerably less cinematic and involved things like rules around French-language content online and product labels on goods. La belle province... meet la belle coincidence. I'm not saying Texas automatically would have gotten the contract. I'm saying maybe spending months screaming 'ELBOWS UP' while our relationship with the largest economy on earth goes sideways has consequences. Meanwhile, Canadians have been beaten over the head with Canada Strong... Buy Canadian... Protect Canadian workers... Build big things here... and my personal favourite, Be our own best customer. Apparently we’re our own best customer until we actually need to buy something big. And China isn’t exactly a stranger to this project. Phase 1 also used fabricated steel modules from China, and Ottawa granted relief from anti-dumping and countervailing duties on those imported components. Canadian steel interests objected vociferously at that time. Now Phase 2 comes along and we’re going back to China again. And lets be clear about what fabricated in China actually means. It isn't just buying a hunk of steel from China and handing it to Canadian workers to turn into something here. A major part of the manufacturing and fabrication happens there. The cutting, welding, fitting, assembly and the supply-chain work feeding that fabrication support jobs there. The completed modules are then shipped across the Pacific to Kitimat, where Canadians do the leftover work required once they arrive. If that fabrication were happening here, the economic benefit wouldn't begin when the finished modules showed up at the jobsite. Canadian mills and suppliers could be filling orders. Canadian fabrication shops could be employing welders, fitters and tradespeople. Canadian manufacturers could be making components. Canadian trucking and logistics companies could be moving them. Those workers spend their paycheques in Canadian communities. That's the economic chain we keep hearing politicians talk about when they explain why Canadian manufacturing matters. Instead a substantial chunk of that economic chain happens overseas and Canada gets what’s left when the modules arrive. Oh, and PetroChina owns 15% of LNG Canada so the mystery is solved on where pressure to buy in China likely came from. After all the Canada Strong, Buy Canadian, protect Canadian steelworkers and be our own best customer speeches, an actual multibillion-dollar project comes along and a major chunk of the fabrication work and the jobs attached to it sail right across the Pacific. Apparently Canada Strong comes with a fairly generous China exemption. 💪 Elbows still up? Perfect. Wouldn’t want China thinking all that theatre was for nothing.

Fact check: 70% of the fabrication is Candian. The rest are components that ARE SPECIALIZED AND NOT MADE HERE. This falsified narrative is exactly why I left the Conservative party. They started this BS factoid. Find truthful reasons to criticize. Stop with the garbage.

Elbows up was a marketing campaign. It worked, 77% of people are still avoiding US products nineteen months later. The problem is the back end. A campaign that moves customers and a supply chain that can't deliver is how most businesses blow up to

Carney globalists are diametrically opposed to America's policies of economic nationalism Carney is Brussel's "man on scene" (in the European Commissions's Ottawa office) Carney's globalist vision for Canada leads to a dark place Markets are pricing French sovereign bonds as junk Quoting @MichaelAArouet Most people don’t yet grasp what is happening in France. Markets are pricing French sovereign debt as junk, rating agencies will eventually have to follow. This will have two major impacts: 1. Most French banks are already rated at or just below the sovereign, so a move toward junk would likely drag domestically focused lenders with it. Credit to households and firms would slow sharply, hurting the economy and widening the fiscal deficit even further, a vicious cycle. 2. For the ECB, the constraint is legal as well as financial. A fall below investment grade would force sales by ratings-bound investors while making any backstop harder to justify under current rules. The next euro crisis will begin in France. The first, which began in Greece, will feel like a walk in the park compared with what comes next.

You perhaps should have mentioned that no other good leader prospect existed at election time, ioo, albeit we boomers were and are a large cohort of voters. Sometimes due to outside circumstances (like two wars) and for speed, we adjust our methods to achieve what is needed.

Profilbild von Melanie In Saskatchewan

Please don't get me wrong... I am quite aware of the dynamics within the boomer generation. My dad is from the silent generation, my mother a baby boomer. I am genx with kids ranging from millennial to Gen Alpha. I was married to a boomer as well but he passed away late summer last year. I was born to a GM family in Oshawa. I say all this because I don't have a single boomer in my life who would vote for this. All data points to female voters 65+ as the core base of Carney Liberal voters and they reside in the wealthier areas of GTHA, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver. I don't need to explain ridings to underscore how the majority of seats in government are Ontario (122) and Quebec (78) for a total of 200 of the 343 seats in Parliament. So until that particular subsect of boomers are no longer voting, the generations that come after them don't stand a chance. At some point, people need to stop voting for looks and charm and vote for actual solutions. Clearly Pierre knew whathe was talking about. At least Carney thought so as evidenced by how much of Pierre'spolicy ideas and platform he took. Carney was elected using a lot of Pierre's ideas. It seems fraudulent to me. It's like Canada voted for a Temu Pierre simply because he said catalyse a sufficient amount of times to sound smart. One last thing about Pierre... I spend a lot of time researching and I'm astounded that, believe it or not, Pierre is an honest politician. If people spent 5 minutes everyday just fact checking one meme or disparaging accusation post they'd be stunned. Tell me, option a or b. Who would you choose? One is Pierre, the other is Mark and actual verifiable facts of each.

Don’t Scroll—God Is Calling You to Submit and Move Praise the Lord that He has given us such a commission and such a call and we should be humbled by that and we should want to go out for His kingdom and do that. All of you are usable by God. There is not one of you that is not usable if you're only willing to submit. We all fall short. It's a matter of who is willing. Here I am, Lord, send me. That's what Isaiah said. Here I am. Send me. You are all usable. When a lot of you out there go, well, what can I do for God in my life? There's a lot you can do. If you're only willing to be picked up as an instrument in his Hands and implemented the way you were created to move. Many of you are operating outside the realm of what you were created to be. And in this season, that's going to be reconciled. And many of you are going to change course in this season drastically. Because you're in jobs, you're in areas, you're doing things, you were not created to do. You have gifts for it, but you weren’t created to do it. And there's going to be massive shifts in many of your lives and a sudden turn. And the Lord is going to realign. And this is going to be quick when He does it. Realign you into the position, redirect you and put you on that course because time is short and He needs you operating in what you were created to do. He needs that right now. And many of you are going to enter that process in this season. So praise the Lord because you are. You will enter that process and you will be redirected. And you will do what is written about you in the books of heaven, what you were created to do on this earth. Because many of you know and feel uncomfortable and know you're not in your call. You know you are just trying to try to endure, you're trying to survive. And it's because you're not in your call. Surrender to God, allow Him to redirect you into your call and your purpose that you were beautifully created to do. Because it's needed in this season and we cannot dilly dally anymore and go dabbling in things we are not created to do. It's time for us to go to work and it's time for us to be willing to go there.

It’s really sad seeing all these posts from people who clearly aren’t politically informed saying America is falling and that the country is in bad shape right now. When your the same people who couldn't see how bad we were under Biden who sold us out. Y’all are the same people who were willing to let the Democratic Party bring an entire other country, Venezuela, Cartel into Chicago and take over our communities.. Please educate yourself. Seriously, educate yourself on what is actually going on. The media and the Democratic Party have so many of you confused and brainwashed that you truly believe the world is falling apart just because President Donald J. Trump is in office, and have to do what's necessary, and hard to straighten this mess out. You don’t even want to listen to or look at what the man is actually doing. How many of you actually listened to and watched his speech at the World Economic Forum to see for yourselves how other countries view America, how the world respects us, and what he has accomplished? Instead, you just repeat fake news headlines. Educate yourself. Look for yourself. All over the world, America is respected again. World leaders respect what President Trump is doing. He is digging America out of the hole the Democrats created, like they always do,and everything he’s doing is to benefit America and American citizens. But because so many of you refuse to educate yourselves politically, you just post opinions about things you don’t understand. You keep saying, “America is falling” and “America is in bad shape.” No, America was in bad shape under Biden. That’s when no one respected us. That’s when wars broke out everywhere. That’s when China and Russia were expanding right in our backyard. That’s what happens when you have weak leadership and Democrats selling America out. You’re stuck in fake news. Wake up. You’ve been indoctrinated to hate your own country and to give it away to foreigners. If you keep going down this road, you’re going to wake up one day and realize we’ve become just like communist China. For once, we have a real president trying to stop this madness and actually make America great again. But the fake news and the Democratic Party, who have spent decades destroying this country, keep feeding you lies, and you refuse to see through it. Every major problem we are facing today was caused by the Democratic Party selling America out. Wake up. Chicago Flips Red #votered

"You can either produce excellence or you can avoid criticism. But you cannot do both of those. The reason that you don't have certain excellence that you want is because you are afraid of getting criticized. You are afraid of the judgment that comes with it. You are afraid of standing out. You are afraid of being alone. You are afraid of people looking at you. You are worried about what people think of you. There are 2 categories of things in this world: 1) Things that are up to you 2) Things that are not up to you Which category does your reputation sit in? Your reputation is not up to you. I'm the one who associates your reputation with something, not you. You just do things. What's up to you? How you act. Your decisions. Your actions. That is up to you. Your reputation is not up to you. Here's how I know that: You all have a reputation about me and it's not in my control. I get to say and do whatever I say and do up here. I am in control of saying it. I am in control of doing it. The moment words leave my lips, who has control over what is done with those words? You! You are in control of what you think of me. And there's no way everybody in this room is going to think the exact same thing about me. No way. When it comes to exceptional, what we've got to understand is you can spend your whole life trying to avoid criticism and earn reputation, and it still won't be in your control. We can waste a lot of time missing out on excellence we could have been producing if we were just simply LESS trying to engineer what we wanted other people to think about us."
