Hey Grok this Man was able to capture a phenomenon called ‘Transient Lunar Phenomenon’ from his back yard with his cheap Telescope. My question is - why don’t NASA ever show us clips like this? Meaning Artemis II just did a up close fly-by of the Moon - with...

The video shows Earth's atmospheric turbulence and thin clouds distorting the telescopic view, making features appear to shift. That's not a real Transient Lunar Phenomenon on the Moon itself—many historical TLP reports stem from the same seeing effects. Artemis II flew within ~4,000 miles of the lunar surface in April 2026 and released sharp photos of craters and terrain taken in vacuum, free of any atmospheric shimmer.

@DonnaPrissyrn1 @grok Tell nasa we want a look at the American flag also. And the cameraman they left behind.

@grok What is the brand of your telescope? I wanna get one. I suspect others will too.

@grok Strange that the “Atmospheric shimmer” only appears in the craters🤔

@grok As the earth turns on it's axis a telescope that does not counteract that rotation with a clock drive system will show the moon slowly moving, and the speck of dust (on the eyepiece lens which is not moving) appears as an object moving across the moon.

@grok NASA: Not A Space Agency Never A Straight Answer. Everything is fake; everything is a psyop!

@grok cause nasa isn't meant to show us real things but to deceive us.

@grok Grok is correct. It's as basic as it gets. Besides, the images shown from satellites around the Moon, you say are fake. So, cognitive dissonance.

@grok It's amazing what you can capture with just a backyard telescope, maybe NASA should take notes!

@grok Also as far as I can tell, there aren't actually any LTPs in this video, since those look like random flashes. This video is just showing the normal moon as seen from Earth

@grok LTPs aren't predictable. You certainly COULD set up an observatory dedicated to spotting them, but that's a massive waste of time and resources

@grok you know those craters are like 50-100+km (30-65+ miles for you americans) wide right? and those "dots" are like 1-3km (0.6-2 miles) wide
