This is a terrible situation. I don't understand how anyone could treat people this way and do something like this. I hope all those responsible are caught and punished. I wish the developer the best of luck. I hope these setbacks don't affect him in any way. Thank you for bringing this issue to light!

All nice and cool about our kindness where is the punishment for the worthless @gamescom security and the fact that allowed the "foreign investors" get away with it? Why they don't compensate the victims? Why they are not releasing cctv footage? Why they couldn't do their job and protect the exhibitors!? Why they go unpunished?

The Spanish team at @tesserastudios also had several computers and controllers stolen... I’ll add more: it’s unbelievable that things like this can happen at one of the biggest trade shows in the world, such as @gamescom

As a solo indie dev rookie i can't believe someone could do that. You have to be as low as a rattlesnakes belly to steal off indie devs who go through enough tough times as it is without this crap happening.

@IndieGamesLib I have met and spoken to some indie devs and many of them pour not only their heart and souls into their games… But also their own finances into their projects.. just to deliver great games to people. It’s insane someone would steal from them

Followed you for this! Love to see people reaching out and coming together when people desperately need to catch a break. What happened to Ryan is horrible and I just hope the community is able to help him get back some equipment that was so pathetically stolen

Isn’t there also the issue that the stealer also could have stolen his code base ? Isn’t that a bigger deal than the lost laptop? Anyway I agree with Joe - whoever stole it is a spineless coward.
