One of the battalions from the 92nd Brigade urgently needs a manipulator crane truck and an excavator. They’re currently facing major challenges in excavating unexploded Russian bombs—right now, they are doing it by hand and loading them onto pickup trucks. This is not only extremely dangerous but also incredibly labor-intensive. As you know, I’ve been working to deliver engineering and logistics equipment to Ukraine. I’d like to share a small story about delivering this truck. Three months ago, we purchased three crane trucks in France. With the remaining funds, we were able to buy four logistics vehicles: three vans and this 8.5-ton truck. To make the most of our resources, I focus on finding equipment that is a bit older but has very low mileage. This truck had only 150,000 km, which is incredibly low for such machinery. The truck was dirty, and the cabin looked like it had been used as a shelter. I decided that if the price was right, we’d take it. In the end, we got it for just 3,500 euros. The truck was in excellent technical condition. We cleaned it thoroughly, changed the oil and filters, and got it ready for service. A team of drivers, organized by @uke_canuck, delivered it to Ukraine. It has since been transferred to the 26th Artillery Brigade, where it is now actively delivering supplies and ammunition. They even sent us this nice video as a thank-you. Our goal is not just to deliver equipment but to maximize impact by doing more with less—and we’re getting good at it. It's not just about delivering a pickup truck for mobility. We also work directly with units to understand their needs so they can continue operating independently, or at least with reduced reliance on external aid. You can help us achieve that. See the donation link at the end. Please watch this small "thank you" video from one of the units we help. This applies to everything: equipment, drones, vehicles, and most importantly, lives. At Liberty Ukraine Foundation 🇺🇸🇺🇦, we don’t just deliver trucks. We also help units ensure they have the tools and knowledge to maintain their current and future fleets. For example, with the 1st Assault Battalion of the 92nd Brigade, we learned that they have many vehicles, but frequent breakdowns. When that happens, they either hire tow trucks or wait weeks for a brigade vehicle to transport the broken one to a workshop. Repairs take weeks or months, cost a fortune, and often don’t deliver good quality. After speaking with their commander, we discovered that they already have skilled personnel, including former mechanics and truck drivers. So instead of the endless cycle of hiring a tow truck, waiting, transporting, waiting again, and paying huge sums, we realized we could eliminate the middlemen by giving them a tow truck and repair equipment. With your support, our fund purchased a tow truck (a beavertail evacuation truck) and an autolift for their workshop. Now the unit is far more self-reliant. They no longer depend on centralized evacuation services or private tow companies, which often refuse to approach the front. With this equipment, they can handle most common repairs and maintenance themselves. It’s hard to estimate the exact savings, but repairing a single vehicle suspension, including labor and evacuation, usually costs around $1,000 to $1,500 in Ukraine. Considering the battalion operates over 30 light vehicles that frequently break down, this project could save $10,000 to $15,000 monthly while reducing downtime by 2 to 3 weeks per vehicle. These seemingly small efforts make operations more sustainable, reduce dependency, and free up resources that can be used for drones and other critical equipment. Sorry to be blunt, but I am asking you to donate towards our efforts to get more engineering equipment to Ukraine, specifically two excavators and a truck for the 72nd brigade. We are stuck at 50%, and my post seems to be supressed by X. These machines save lives and I can't explain well enough how important they are. Today, I’m relaunching the fundraiser and want to share an example of the impact of the machines we provide. After delivering multiple excavators to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and speaking with engineering units, I concluded that we need a more holistic approach. Specifically, to help build fortifications for motivated units, we need to provide both transport and unloading equipment to offer a complete solution instead of just a simple digger. While an excavator alone is important and solves many issues, pairing it with a truck equipped with a manipulator arm can be a force multiplier. Here are a few more details about our operations. We purchased this rough terrain forklift for the 92nd Brigade. It traveled on the back of one of the crane trucks we previously bought from UK. However, due to Polish customs, we had to unload the forklift from the truck and arrange a separate trailer to take it across the border. The truck had to cross the border empty. Once across, we reloaded the forklift onto the vehicle and continued the journey to Kharkiv. Right now, it's more important than ever to support Ukraine. Hello, our shop in Kharkiv is working non-stop to deliver the engineering equipment. We are some of our best to make sure Ukrainian units have means to build fortifications and shelters. I am asking for your help by donating or sharing, liking and commenting on this post. New equipment such as this costs 140,000$ per machine. We are buying them for 20k-30k repairing for 10k and with logistics average cost of the 7 ton excavator is around 30-40k USD. This is 1/3 to 1/4 of the cost of the new machine, and after the repairs it's ready to work for another 3-4 years. Now, why are these machines so important? Whatever video of the Ukrainian command center, drone pilot position, infantry position or an artillery position you see in the news, it's always buried underground. Ukraine has severe engineering equipment shortages to build the fortifications. On top of that, centralized engineering units often build something that isn't as functional as needed. Our organization empowers battalion and brigade level units with excavators to build exactly what they need and save lives of their service men.
