This would be great, but importing video into the clip tends to make the program very slow, sometimes it skips or don't show certain frames . Even moving the cursor in the timeline looks lagging.

Ah yea definitely agree, maybe best to put it during the exporting stage, or cut it to only how long youd need it, or another option which is to compress the mp4 even further and change render settings to lessen lag
