Would you also prefer the shadows/highlights to be individually separated and masked onto each bead too? Or is that more forgiving when it’s all one layer? 🤔

For this one, it depends on the rigger themselves! For me, small details that usually don't get highlighted in a VTuber stream don't need overly detailed cutting for optimization's sake! So, no, you don't need to separate the shadows/highlight individually if the beads are very small! Only big ones!
