And i didn’t realize how triggered i was getting from Lamar. We didn’t talk for 10 years because after his overdose Lamar couldn’t walk or talk, he had a significant amount seizures and stroke, and needed to be rehabilitated, i helped him through that journey. And then when he was at a decent place he started using again, from that moment i said i can never see you again. I love Lamar with all my heart, even today. He was like one of the greatest love of my life. When he started using again after such a horrific accident, I couldn’t understand how someone will go do that again. It felt like you punched me in my stomach, I put so much of my life on hold to take care of this person”

#JAYB talked about running into #JINYOUNG while he's on a run 🌴 our eyes met. so then… but… it was like i had seen him somewhere a lot… i mean, i only saw his eyes because he was wearing a mask, but just from the eyes it felt like someone i had seen seen a lot. so i was like… “what? ah, who is that… i’ve seen this person so many times somewhere.” he felt so familiar. he was so familiar that i was like, “what is this?” and i turned around. and when i looked at the way he walked, it felt even more familiar. i had my earphones in, but i took them out and called, “park-ssi!” but he didn’t respond. so then i thought, “ah, is it not him?” but just in case, i called him on my phone and asked, “where are you?” and jinyoung said, “was that you just now? was that you, hyung? hyung, right? the one in the red running shoes, that’s you, right?” so i said, “oh, it is you, right?” and we realized it was each other. so i turned around, ran back, talked to him for a bit, then i went back to running and jinyoung went on his way. seriously, i’m not lying. it was like a movie, our eyes just met like this. i’d seen those eyes so many times. so i was like, “what? where have i seen those?” then when i called out “park-ssi!” he didn’t hear me. so i called him, and right away, as soon as he picked up, not even “hyung, what’s up?” but right as he answered, “it’s you, right?” we must have been thinking the exact same thing

vernon about trainee minghao 🐻‍❄ when hyung first came in as a trainee, he was quite the rebellious type, visually. he had a shaved head and did breakdancing, that's why i found him quite cool back then 🎱 when i first came to korea, i was the closest with vernon 🐻‍❄ i really liked him back then as a trainee because when i was younger, i thought that breakdancing was very cool and i wanted to do it too but my parents didn't let me. then a guy came in actually knowing how to do it, with his head shaved, and it was just my style. since he came from china, we often went to konkuk univ station to eat some food from his hometown. that's when he introduced mala to me and that was even before mala craze took off. it was so unique and i thought that maybe there's a reason why people don't eat mala in korea but it just suddenly took off!

He had big dreams, but the world wasn't cooperating. This is how he turned things around. what "I realized I had nowhere else to fall from this because I just felt like I’d made a lot of bad career decisions and I was washed up early and I just sat there in this temple." It was a good place to sit and think because he didn't know anyone and didn't understand anything. "And I just started writing in a notebook about why my life sucked so badly." This book, a journal he's kept every year that he calls the book of life, allows him to take an accurate accounting of his life and change his mindset through reflection. After writing for hours about how bad his life sucked and all the mistakes he'd made, he focused on one small thing. "I just ended on this one thing: that I smoked cigarettes. I didn’t even smoke smoke. I smoked like one or two a day, a pack a night if I was at a bar on weekends, but I hated it ... I didn’t want to do it, but I kept doing it." He felt like his life was out of control, but this was one thing he could control. "I just was like, if I could do one thing to know that I’m making some positive change in my life, I’m going to quit smoking. So on October 19th, 1994, I did a lifetime quit on cigarettes and then every day for that year after that, that I didn’t smoke, it was something I could feel good about.
