@theweeknd Youre amazing dude. I’m in the process of trying to learn nuke lol

@theweeknd Let’s go! We didn’t use Nuke on this project, since we don’t own a license, but it’s an amazing tool for CG comp. Really fast!

@theweeknd Nice way to do this, but would be much simple just activating "transparent glass" option so that blender still would catch the emission behind the visor?

@theweeknd We needed the texture data of the object that had emission material when the emission was off! So like the rustic piece when the visor wasn’t glowing.

@theweeknd Ok makes sense, but at this point for 100% of the control you could have made a custom AOV output just for that material no? By the way as i told you before you found a nice method to do that!

@theweeknd Nope! AOV wouldn’t have worked as we needed to catch indirect light as well, which unfortunately was unsupported past 3.6 I think i said in the video 😭 But thank you for your kind words! Means a lot :)

@theweeknd Ah ok i didnt know that ahah! Then i would have used the indirect light pass + cryptomatte but just because it's a personal preference :)

@theweeknd Maybe I didn't understand something, but yesterday I created two lightgroups from meshlights with mat emission working perfect in the compositor...!? Because I tested my addon.

@theweeknd What version of blender?

@theweeknd I use 4.4 up to 5.2 Mac silicon. Should work with any OS. I build this addon with blender MCP without issues. I use mostly mesh lights, and could do the Lightgroups since before 4.4. Never had issues. As you can see in the screenshots, there is also world lightgroups available.
