Simply put: the mind will ALWAYS go to where it’s most comfortable because that’s where it knows how to operate hence why some are perpetually stuck in survival mode and only realize it when they have actual conversation with others

🎯applies to everything. It’s like the saying “your nervous system will always choose a familiar hell over an unfamiliar heaven”. Survival is associated w/ what’s familiar but familiar doesn’t mean what’s best/thriving. What’s familiar can be unhealthy/dysfunctional/disempowering

I used to value think pieces like this untill I realized it’s not your mind but each of us have a designated path , support structure and internal voices we operate on. You can’t talk about “ the mind “ to a person who’s in a country that’s military couped, your responsibility is PERCEPTION and what your level of gratuity could reach because we not all supposed to have a Lamborghini dawg , money was never the goal

I haaaate these types of videos because it’s like Okay. Now what? You’ve told us our minds are sabotaging us. Cool. So how do we fix it? And then the video ENDSSS????

While im a firm believer that you gotta find ways to stay positive and look at the silver linings and all that. Let's be real. The idea that people are struggling financially because of mindset is absolutely silly. We live in a poverty dependant economy. If everyone in the world became a millionaire next year the economy would collapse or the value of the dollar would. Likely both. Because there are jobs out there that absolutely nobody wants to do. And we as a society have yet to find a better answer then "make it a choice between that job and starvation". Which. While morally reprehensible, doesn't matter because it's "practical"

Dunno if this will help anyone but whatever, it's slightly connected to the topic of the example in the video... I grew up in a poor house, money was always very tight and we went without a lot of things. As I moved out into the world into adulthood I carried this issue with 'lack' and not having enough even though I didn't realize it. Looking back at things I realize now that my main issue was I didn't understand the true value of money, it's not just what it can buy, but also having it there ready to buy or do things when you need to equals peace of mind which is massively valuable. But I used to get paid and think "oh the money is here, it's worthless in its own right, it's only good for what it can buy me, so what do I need..." I would buy all sorts of things I had been without or things I thought would make me happy but not able to for lack of money, but of course the money would run out after spending it all because there's always something more you can buy right, and I would be back to not having enough of what I needed again because the money had run out. The end result was always I spent everything I got and ended-up with no money at the end of it. The point of this post though is not really how to save money and the benefit of having it sitting there and the value of that in itself, but a small thing I started doing which set me off in the right direction which might help other people in the same type of mindset, where you always seem to be lacking and needing more things. It's a very small tiny thing I started doing which has a huge effect overall on my life. OK, most people who don't have much money run out of things in the house all the time, I'm talking mostly groceries but things like toiletries, toilet paper, shampoo, all sorts of things in your daily life will run out and you will find yourself having none left, you have to go and buy more, but you have to wait until pay-day. You used the last of the coffee up and the sugar is getting low, you need more but shopping day (ie: pay day) is a few days off so you will just have to make do. Or it's the middle of the night and you don't feel arsed to go and drive there and pick one up. This creates a kind of tension in your subconscious you don't even realize. A sense of panic, of need, of discomfort, you have to go to the shop and pick up another one with money you maybe don't have yet, it creates stress and an ongoing energy vibration that you will always be poor and in need and struggling. "I need". "I don't have." "I've run out". "There isn't any". But there is a small thing you can do to change this a small bit and push your subconscious in a new direction of abundance. Next time you buy sugar (as an example) buy 2 packets. You normally buy a kilo packet? Buy two single kilo packets. Not one 2kg, this is important, but two of what you normally would use. Bring them home, open one and put the other one away in the pantry. Use the sugar normally, and at some point when that packet is empty, make a note to get a new packet from the shop when it suits you and when it's convenient. In the meantime, go to your pantry and pull out the spare packet you bought already, open it and start using it. You now have your replacement sugar instantly, with no stress, no spending, no traveling, and there is no urgency to get the next one. You can go buy it when you're next at the supermarket and have your paycheck. Make a note somewhere you need sugar (even though you just opened a new packet right now) and the next time you go shopping, replace that backup sugar packet and put it back in the pantry. If you do this, you will have a never-ending supply of sugar at your disposal. Sugar is just an example. Do it with everything you can think of which you consume regularly. Light bulbs, milk, toilet paper, cheese, in the case of something like cheese, when your block of cheese is about halfway eaten, buy a new one so when you eat that last chunk of cheese you have a new packet sitting there ready to open next time. Always have one or two extra bottles of milk, so when you finish one, you have a brand new fresh one sitting there already. When your favourite cosmetic is half empty or more, go and buy a replacement then and there and don't wait until it's all finished and you have run out. Get used to having the next one sitting there waiting for you. Yes, it seems initially to be a waste of money, buying something you don't technically need yet, but as it's a recurring thing which you always use you will need to buy it sooner or later anyway so you're not spending any more than you would before. The only thing is that you spend for one of them earlier than you would have otherwise, but overall the financial outlay is the same and you're no worse off. The benefit from this is that it takes you from a mental place of 'lack' and "I don't have enough" to a place of abundance and "I always have what I need". You start to change your mindset and feel at home in a place of abundance, where what you need is always magically there for you. It's not the be-all and end-all, but it is one small powerful tool to use to start to move from a place of constant need and lack to a place of abundance and prosperity. Everytime you run out of something in your house, ideally you have replaced it before it was even half used and another one sitting there waiting for you and your pantry becomes a virtual supermarket on its own where you always have a full shelf to grab from and never feel a panic to go and replace something at the last minute or go without altogether because you don't have the money to buy it. Your moisturizer is almost out, no drama, you have the next one already there which will last you several months during which time you go and buy a new one when you are able and when it's totally convenient to you. You have a constant flow of things coming into your life as you need them, exactly when you need them. It's gone from a subtle feeling of dread and panic of running out and not being able to get what you need, running on empty, not having enough money, living from paycheck to paycheck (shit I need... oh i have to go and buy... is the shop open? fuck, how can i do it now if there's none left...), to a feeling of calm and peace and ease, you never run out, you are never in need, you always have what you need when you need it, it's all sitting there waiting for you. This will spill over into other areas of your life. The mindset of abundance. Try it.

Solution: Hold every thought captive to Christ.

Trying to make this my focus in 2025. Thanks for sharing Johnny 🙏🤍

Keep your wealth. It is the root of all evil. Jesus warned us about this. Old Testament and other religious texts as well. You can’t buy your way to heaven. I will take what is rightfully mine if/when God is ready. If not then I’ll die with little material wealth. Manifest that!

Money is a fabrication. No other species on this planet has it, why, everything is free. It's fascinating to watch this trap sold over & over.
