Not caste. But agriarian behaviour. This is most of the small towner Indian with power (societal, land or job based). An average long time resident of Mumbai, Bengaluru or Chennai would never behave like this. Lack of urbanism is the problem. Not caste.

Now you know why India never had a revolution. Even if you ignore class, caste in itself, is too strong a tool of oppression. While the Indian constitution guarantees equal rights, Indian society is fundamentally devoid of egalitarian values that the Chinese society is built on.
