So true, Jason. Same in Hong Kong. On the street where I live, the deliveries to stores are made overnight, and on my morning walk, I pass hundreds of boxes of goods, just left on the street. Theft is so rare that shopkeepers don't arrive to take them inside till mid-morning

In the U.S. or any other country, shelves can be emptied within seconds due to theft. China is indeed a high-trust society. I have traveled there, and I've seen and experienced it firsthand. It’s truly remarkable. I understand that this may seem unfathomable from an outsider's perspective.
