Realistic finger movement is one of the most difficult things to animate. Also one of my favorite things to do. You have to sell the illusion of surface pressure, when to be deliberate or subconscious with your posing. Use muscle tension or be loose and relaxed. Introducing props amps up the complexity greatly. You won't really notice most of the things I do, but you'll hopefully feel it when it's done right. Here is some of my finger animation I had fun doing on The Last of Us Part I. All hand keyframed. Running at half speed to show detail.

Scottie Scheffler ended his presser Tuesday with 5 minutes on fulfillment in competitive golf -- or lack thereof: "This is not the place to look for your satisfaction. This is something where you can have a great appreciation for and like a great amount of thankfulness for being able to do this. Like I said, it's literally one of the most fun things I can do in my entire life. I love being able to come out here and compete, but at the end of the day, it's not what satisfies me."

I finally made a scratch mix of a tune I wrote at the height of lockdown. This is for anyone who looks around at the constant barrage of shit surrounding them, and as a result, deals with depression, or addiction, or just resides in a constant state of existential dread. I've dealt and do deal with all of those things. I -- like a ton of people -- had it going pretty bad during lockdowns (that's an understatement). A ton of helpful shit was cancelled or closed .... but you better believe the liquor stores stayed open. I have no answers. All I have is the occasional song, and usually, those songs are presented in the form of a question, like this one. "Do you ever get the feeling like the end is coming soon? ...." --- Thanks to my talented buddy Joseph Alton Miller (also a very talented songwriter), who let me borrow the studio in his attic for a little while, and who manned the recording desk, until his daughter had to go to sleep for the night.

He knew how to make things look really cool. It was fun to shoot it more practically. You don't have to make up the adrenaline. Since I keep seeing people talk about "noir romance," let me share the actual clip from the #HeartSignal5 press conference and the full explanation behind that keyword. First of all, that word didn't come from the PD. It was actually a keyword used by panelist Lee Sangmin when the MC asked each panelist to describe the season with a keyword. "It's noir-romantic. There are quite a lot of scenes that feel very noir-like. And within that atmosphere, romance starts to develop. When the line between those two worlds begins to break down, it's really interesting to watch, but it's also sad and painful. Anyway, I think what makes this season of Heart Signal different from the previous ones is that you can really feel both of those elements, the intensity and the sweetness or loveliness. I think that's what makes it different" So he was basically explaining the scenes they had watched so far and the overall atmosphere of the season. After SNK went bankrupt in 2001, many of its developers moved to Sega Sammy-related companies. One of the games created by that talent on the Atomiswave platform was Dolphin Blue. One of the biggest differences from Metal Slug is its combination of 2D characters and 3D backgrounds, which blend together surprisingly well without feeling out of place. As for the soundtrack, this might just be my impression, but it feels like it borrowed a lot of the spirit of Metal Slug. Unlike Metal Slug, Dolphin Blue has a much brighter and more cheerful atmosphere, and the music fits the game perfectly. The gameplay is fast-paced and fun, but after a short while the difficulty spikes dramatically, and there are quite a few sections where the game slows down, which can hurt the overall experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t commonly seen in arcades and was never ported to home consoles, so most people have probably never heard of it. It’s a solid game with a lot of charm, which makes it all the more disappointing that it never got the recognition it deserved.

It feels very different from standard WWE. There are things we look back on from 20 years ago, when it was a much simpler, easier time, and think, ‘Oh, that was so good. That was the best. Important reality check from WashPost's Josh Rogin about the age/condition of govt planes during after AF1 had electrical issues and turned around instead of continuing its flight to Davos.... "Over the course of 20 years of traveling on government aircraft, this happens all the time. You know, it's a really old fleet and there's a constant state of disrepair. It's much more rare for Air Force One than it is for like the planes that the vice president and the secretary of defense, the secretary of state, might fly on. But these things happen, and it's because the planes are very, very old. And so, I think the fact that they caught it early and they turned back, it shouldn't really be a big problem. But it is kind of shocking to people who don't know, but it's kind of an open secret amongst the reporters who travel with senior officials that the U.S. fleet is very old and the planes are not in good condition, and that doesn't justify taking a plane from Qatar for free or anything like that. But it's just kind of a thing that everybody knows that these are really old planes and they malfunction all the time. So, they caught it. They're going to go back, they're going to get on a couple other planes. They'll be a little late. It'll probably be okay, and they'll fix the plane. But these things happen because the U.S. government fleet is very, very old and these planes are very, very old."

Another amazing update to CS2 so quickly. Screen shake while spraying has been dramatically reduced. You can very clearly feel the difference, it's almost like there's no shaking at all in the new version. This is a great improvement for the feel of spraying. I almost feel sick watching the old version. When spraying in CS2, players need to be able to feel the recoil, to know where they are in the spray, and to be able to adjust based on the enemy player's movement. I just played a full game with this, and the difference is night and day. Valve has been cooking like CRAZY lately. This is another of those updates that definitely should have been in the game from the very beginning.

I just played a full game with this, and the difference is night and day. Valve has been cooking like CRAZY lately. This is another of those updates that definitely should have been in the game from the very beginning.
