🚨 Liangmai Naga calls for eradication of #PoppyCultivation in #Manipur (Pic 1) 🙏 We Meitei Heritage Society welcomes the Liangmai Council’s resolution to completely ban any form of Poppy plantation in Liangmai inhabited hills of Manipur. ❗️As per a Naga leader, the tribe shifted from Poppy Cultivation because the village chief, Church leaders and community rejects poppy cultivation saying it is social evil. Church even rejects donation from drug money because drug is anti-christian. ❗️It is extremely sad that some #Kuki leaders, intellectuals and their supporters justify Poppy Cultivation with ridiculous reasons, sending message to poor poppy farmers that we are behind you.
