“High-performance infrastructure only matters if it expands what users can actually do onchain — and makes that experience accessible at scale.” @sachitakahara sits down with Jay, Co-Founder of Sei, to examine why parallelized execution is becoming increasingly important for the next generation of onchain applications. From trading and DeFi...

“Virtual machines are like cities — once they reach critical mass, they become magnets that are incredibly hard to displace.” Diksha Wells catches up with Jay, Co-Founder of Sei, to unpack this idea at a deeper level — why systems with flaws can still dominate simply because that’s where the activity, liquidity, and people already are. From New York and San Francisco to onchain environments like the EVM, they explore how network effects compound over time, why newer ecosystems struggle to pull users away even with better tech, and what it actually takes to break that inertia.

i'm interested in how Pump.fun is positioning itself as more trading activity moves onchain they've expanded from a token launchpad into PumpSwap and a mobile trading app, giving them exposure to both token creation and social trading if those markets continue growing, there's room for the platform to capture more activity across its products user retention and execution will be important as competition increases

i’m increasingly bullish on Solana DeFi as one of the more underlooked trades this cycle memes captured most of the attention last cycle, while protocols like Jito and Jupiter were still early in their token lifecycle now there’s a much clearer picture of which protocols are becoming core infrastructure for Solana low fees, fast execution and growing onchain volume strengthen that setup as retail, institutions and tokenized stocks continue moving onchain

Institutions already see the upside of DeFi. Transparency. Global liquidity. Fewer intermediaries. What’s missing is infrastructure they can actually use and pathways to onboard them in a way that grows the pie, not just competes for the same users. At Arc Studio, Morpho 🦋 Co-Founder Merlin Egalite 🕛 shared what it will take to bring institutions onchain.

Robinhood already has the audience Ansem views Robinhood's existing user base as the key variable behind the chain's potential. "If they figure out a way for the Robinhood app users to be more active on the Robinhood chain..." "They have like the same amount of user base and they're also degens." "The Robinhood people made a ton of money on Dogecoin." Coinbase had a massive distribution advantage through its main app, yet Base required a separate effort to turn that audience into active onchain users. Robinhood starts with a user base already familiar with trading and speculation. Its retail audience also experienced one of crypto's biggest meme cycles through Dogecoin, creating an existing connection between the platform and onchain style trading. If Robinhood can convert that existing trading behavior into activity on its own chain, the network could gain a powerful distribution advantage from day one. The chain already has access to the audience. The real opportunity is turning that audience into onchain users. w/ Ansem 🐂🀄️

DEXs are evolving beyond the traditional Uniswap model. As onchain trading grows, the next step is building more flexible applications that can adapt to user preferences, improve integrations, and deliver a better trading experience. That’s the kind of evolution worth paying attention to in DeFi. BaiBai is building in this space, combining professional market makers with liquidity aggregation to help traders access better prices on Base. The goal isn’t just another DEX. It’s better execution.
