Imperial shared that the moment that reshaped his path happened in 2021, when his grandmother suffered a mild stroke while also battling Alzheimer's disease at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the family's struggle to navigate her condition during a time of limited access to professional help made him realize the absence of a health professional in their household. "During the pandemic, limited po ang interaction, kaya mahirap humingi ng tulong sa mga professionals regarding sa situation ni Mommy... Doon din nag-sink in sa akin na oo nga, wala kaming health-related professional sa family. Aside from losing my passion for Architecture, yung situation din namin ang naging turning point ko, kaya nag-shift po ako sa Nursing," he recalled. When asked about his message to his grandmother, Imperial said he dedicated his achievement to his grandmother, whom he lovingly calls "Mommy." "Para sa'yo ito, Mommy. Ahh, so hindi pala fan ng kulto yung keme, pero feeling ko PBB fan hahaha. Very close ah. The mixed signals, hinde nagkaaminan, iniyakan nang todo... kulang na lang talaga may ibang jowa.. para kumpleto na lols. And ang weird na she felt all of that after that "sumpa" episode.. baka isipin ng truthers nila kailangan ng ritwal at sundance para magustuhan ka ng crush mo hahaha... mga paniwalain pa nman ang mga chenes 😂 Honestly, I don’t even know anymore.. Ang hirap kasi walang feeder for Edward. Up until now, wala pa ring nagsasabi kay Jade lahat ng ginawa at sinakripisyo niya for her. Guys, ngayon lang ako magfflex kaya pagbgyan niyo nako. 🙏🙏🙏 Wasn’t planning to get a VIP pass nung buscopan but I just had to. I really wished navideohan ko yung expression ni Gwen when I showed her one paper bag before photo op, she was requesting na ibgay ko na sa stage. PERO walang tatalo sa expression niya (and the other girls) nung pinakita ko na lahat ng paper bags sa kanya. Although, I wasn’t able to personally give her all the gifts sa stage, the way she was concerned and looking at me habang nilalagay ko lahat sa box and the way na nagpathank you siya with those eyes nung nasa likod nea nako during photo op makes all the effort all worth it. For the past few days, we noticed how happy she is and I’m really hoping na magtuloy tuloy yun (career, lovelife, health, etc.). At sa mga may plano din magbgay sa kanya in the future, pawatch na lang yung video para mkita niyo yung mga vinyls na naibgay ko at iwas dumoble. Kung talagang iginagalang niya ang Kongreso, sasagutin niya ang mga tanong, lalo na sa isyu ng confidential funds. Last year, kinausap namin si VP Sara tungkol sa 2024 budget, at sinabi niya na “ituloy n’yo yan” – meaning ang confidential funds – dahil kaya daw niya itong i-justify.
