[HIJACKING AND KIDNAPPING] Police foiled a kidnapping plot in Katlehong, resulting in the rescue of two victims and the arrest of four suspects, including a popular Vaal DJ Spitjo from Sebokeng. Preliminary report suggests that, information was received from a night-shift security officer at Eastgate Mall regarding suspicious activities... involving individuals impersonating another person using her mobile phone. Acting on this intelligence, police initiated a coordinated, intelligence-driven operation which led to the arrest of three suspects at Eastgate Mall. Subsequent investigations directed the police to a safe house in Dikole Section, Katlehong. Upon arrival, an exchange of gunfire ensued. One additional suspect was apprehended at the scene, and two unlicensed firearms with live ammunition were recovered. Two victims, a male and a female, were found at the ‘safe house’ and rescued without injuries. A 22-year-old woman, an IIT graduate and the daughter of a senior bureaucrat, was found dead at her home in southeast Delhi's East of Kailash area. Police said she was raped before being strangled to death with a phone charger. She was alone at home at the time of the incident. There were no signs of forced entry. Police have arrested a 19-year-old domestic help, Rahul, who had worked at the house and was dismissed over a month ago. "Investigations revealed that he used to play online games and would borrow money from other servants in the vicinity, or from domestic staff working in nearby households, without ever repaying them. This is why he was fired," Joint Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said. He was arrested from a hotel in the Dwarka area, where he had been hiding. He is being charged with rape, murder and robbery, police said. Rahul was seen in CCTV footage leaving the victim's residence at 6:28 am, police said. According to police, the woman was found by her family members inside the house under suspicious circumstances, after which the authorities were alerted. The victim had completed her schooling at DPS RK Puram and later graduated from IIT Delhi. She was preparing for the UPSC examination. She was also a dancer and had won several awards in dance competitions. Her elder brother holds a senior position in a multinational company, and her mother is a doctor. When police reached Rahul's residence in Alwar, they found that he had previously been involved in a sexual harassment case. Air1 Assists TPS in Locating Suspects in Shooting Investigation The DRPS Air1 helicopter assisted Toronto Police Service in the arrest of two suspects in a shooting investigation. On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at around 4:00 p.m., officers from Central West Division responded to the area of Thickson Road North and Taunton Road East after receiving information from Toronto Police Service that two suspects involved in a shooting in Toronto earlier that afternoon were in the area. Air1 conducted an aerial search of the area and located the suspect vehicle in a driveway of a residence in Whitby. Shortly after, the vehicle left the residence and Air1 followed the vehicle into Oshawa, providing updates to TPS and DRPS officers on the ground. At one point, the suspect got into another vehicle, which Air1 began to follow. At approximately 5:15 p.m., units were able to box in the vehicle the suspects fled on foot. Air1 followed one suspect, and he was taken into custody. At approximately 6:00 p.m. Air1 located the second suspect in a nearby playground and he was taken into custody. FCT Police Command have arrested six kidnappers and recovered ₦8.25 million paid as ransom for the release of a female victim abducted in Abuja. The suspects were apprehended by detectives of the Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) following intelligence-led investigations and sustained surveillance after the victim regained her freedom. Recovered exhibits include the ₦8.25 million ransom, two vehicles, mobile phones, jewellery, a laptop, a cutlass, and other items suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Six suspects a woman, three Cameroonians, and three Burkinabes have been arrested in connection with the operation.

#Hyderabad : Man from Old City Carrying #FireArm enters #LuluMall in #Kukatpally , without Security Check, creates panic. The #Weapon came to light after an argument turns into clash between two families, in the parking area at basement of the Lulu Mall, under the #KPHB police station limits. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene. While questioning the two, police were shocked to find a FireArm in the pocket of Siddiqui, a resident of the old city. Police officials seized the FireArm and upon examination, it confirmed that he had a gun license. Police are now investigating how the armed individual entered the mall undetected. Police filed a case against the mall management, for alleged Security lapses.

San Diego police say they received a call from a mother reporting a runaway juvenile, missing weapons, and her car was also missing. She told police that her son was with a companion and that they were dressed in camo. They dispatched police to a local mall and notified school police at a local high school. “We were trying to zero in on where these individuals were at, we received the call at approximately 1143 that there was an active shooter at the islamic center”
