The Hillsborough Law has finally been laid in Parliament. This must not be another false start. I asked the Deputy PM to promise me it will be THE Hillsborough Law, that it will emerge from Parliament stronger - NOT weaker - and finally deliver Justice for the 97.

Andy Burnham says it is "entirely consistent" with the duty of candour in the Hillsborough Law, and there is widespread agreement across the Commons with his words. Maybe if that happens, the rest of Fleet Street will wake up and smell what I've been shovelling for 20 years.
