This is Nagasaki, not Hiroshima. Date is right, bomb is right, & you can tell it's Nagasaki by how hilly it is. The low mountains contained a lot the blast, so it didn't receive as much damage as Hiroshima. And yes, nukes do not hit the ground. This bomb went off at 1800 feet.

Little Boy was detonated approx 3/8 of a mile above the city, not near the surface as depicted.

American pilots at great risk to themselves had dropped leaflets on Hiroshima and Nagasaki telling the civilians to leave the cities because a new, powerful weapon was going to be used. That’s far more than the Japanese did for Pearl Harbor or the many Asian cities they invaded
