Man, I've always wanted to bring my kids to an American nature summer camp - it sounded so great - But somehow, also due to moving out of the USA, this never happened. In hindsight, I dodged a bullet.

Probably. I went to a great summer camp. In retrospect, I was lucky.

Give um hell Shawn!

NDAs don't cover crimes so this doesn't make sense

Well, he’ll subpoena the alleged guilty.

If you are in the wrong the last thing you want to do is pick a fight with a Navy Seal.

We need to burn down that Christian camp and burnall the pedophile and child molesters in the campsite

My kids went there. I’m sick. Please get to the bottom of this.

Agree. I’ve heard about this. What are they hiding??

All of these camps. Under the guise of Christian leadership. Say it isn't so!🙏

What's worse is people are actually sending their kids there still who's the real monsters?

They are the victims.

🖕 means NO

Before I listened to your message, I would say to them fuck off I wouldn’t take down shit

Well Shawn Ryan don’t ever stop talking. Truth should always be told, until it is heard by everyone.

same guy who endorsed the pedophile in chief

Peter "Pete" Daniel Newman was a longtime employee and director at Kanakuk Kamps, a prominent Christian summer camp based in Branson, Missouri. He worked at the camp from 1995 to 2009, rising to become the director of K-Kountry, the program for children aged 6 to 11. Newman was hired with an incomplete application, no recommendations, and no background check, and he quickly became a charismatic figure promoted in camp marketing materials as embodying the organization's Christian values. Newman's abusive behavior toward campers began surfacing as early as 1999, when parents reported him engaging in nude activities with boys, such as swimming, four-wheeling, running, and playing basketball. Additional red flags included one-on-one sleepovers, late-night calls and texts to campers, and inappropriate physical contact, like touching a boy's upper thigh and genital area. Despite these complaints reaching camp leadership, including CEO Joe White, Newman was not fired or reported to authorities; instead, he was promoted and continued his role. This violated Kanakuk's own staff manual, which prohibited sexual contact, nude games, and homosexual behavior. The abuse occurred at camp, during promotional "trail trips," in victims' homes, and on mission trips, often under the guise of mentoring or Bible study. It included molestation, sexual activity (excluding kissing), and other forms of exploitation, affecting boys as young as 7 and continuing into their teens. Newman groomed victims by building trust, isolating them, and using his position of authority. Prosecutors identified at least 57 victims at the time of sentencing, but estimated the true number could be in the hundreds, with clinical experts suggesting possibly thousands over his 15-year tenure. Most victims were male, but in 2025, the first known female victim—a 9-year-old girl abused in 2008—filed a lawsuit. In March 2009, facing threats of reporting from a parent, Newman confessed to Kanakuk leadership and provided a list of victims. He was fired but allowed to leave without immediate police involvement; camp officials contacted families on the list to manage the situation. Newman was arrested in September 2009. In 2010, he pleaded guilty to seven felony counts of child sexual abuse. He was sentenced to two life terms plus 30 years in Missouri state prison, described by the prosecutor as the most prolific child molester they had encountered. Since his conviction, multiple lawsuits have been filed against Newman and Kanakuk, alleging negligence, fraudulent settlements, and use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to silence victims. For instance, in 2018, a judge awarded $20 million to one victim (John Doe IX) for invasion of privacy, childhood sexual abuse, and negligence. Other suits claim Kanakuk misled families about their knowledge of Newman's behavior to secure settlements, with some dismissed on technical grounds. Survivors have advocated for NDA reforms and launched petitions, including one against Newman's parole. Newman became eligible for parole after 15 years, with his first hearing denied; the next is scheduled for 2029. He is currently incarcerated at Jefferson City Correctional Center. The case has prompted broader scrutiny of child safety in religious youth programs, with ongoing calls for accountability at Kanakuk.

What do you mean "something to ponder"? I'm with him.... the molesters and their attorneys can STFU and face whatever they deserve. So I'm confused. Are you pondering SRyans position?

Love you sir for speaking out about this camp of abuse!

Nothing to see here. Great name?

This sounds like a demonic monstrous "camp" that is claiming to be "Christian" to sexually abuse children. May this gentleman expose these evil place and shut it down and stop besmirching Christians and the name of Christ.

They are all pedos man. Even the lawyers I bet

Hold the line! This made my morning. Pedophiles and their protectorates have no place society. What type of legal firm stands behind this behaviour?
