For anyone curious about the original music, it comes from the Japanese translation of King of the Hill.

I just started a rewatch of Rome

I gotta do that, quality show that ended far too soon.

@pantry_bandit It was incredibly obvious that they ran out of money and had to cram two seasons worth of plot into a single season. Tragic.

@klara_sjo But I swear they reused all the props for like 10 years afterwards! 😆

It’s the Evange-legion

Aight. You got me.

Hold on let me get my rolling papyrus

The Glorious Ninth, when they marched into the tribal lands of the Corieltauvi, used to play the local tribes' music as an offering of peace. Mainly 70s sitcom theme tunes and Rick Astley. Lincoln was taken without a fight, establishing a key strategic Roman enclave in the east to further their expansion up the coast to Skegness, where the legions had a paddle, played the arcades and had fish and chips.

When you was campaigning with the Romans you used to sing like birds…

Was a good series, but too short.

I really don’t see how that is accurate. They had horns with no valves like modern trumpets do. With no valves, there is no way to hit all those notes.

Cruel angel thesis is cheerful?

Isn't that the theme tune to "The Love Boat" ?

Herbus Alpertus

I was hoping for The Girl From Ipanema

Did nobody catch the first infrantryman after the cavalry officer passed? He absolutely threw out a Sieg Heil as he walked. It’s already known fact that the Nazi golden eagle symbol was taken directly from the Roman Gold Eagle which was their standard of identity. But now this dude is throwing out Nazi salutes while listening to New Orleans funeral jazz trumpets and horns lol

You know the clown music… THE classic clown theme… is actually called “Entry of the Gladiators”

🤣
Lindus!

Great series

Were they headed for a football game?

sounds like a long walk ahead

Historically accurate Romans in Louisiana:😂

This show deserved at least 4 seasons. Damn near perfect

HAHAAHAHAAH, im a huuge fan of hbo rome..and deadwood i know this scene well, im glad i watched it

Crūdēlis angelī thesis mūsica superba est.

But...

Nah this is accurate marching music:

I smelled A Cruel Angel's Thesis a mile away!

I will always fucking hate game of throbes because it killed rome.

The fact that they canceled this show after 2 seasons was a travesty
