Al-Qassam Brigades Chief of Staff Mohammed Deif said in the statement announcing the launch of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, 2023: “The crimes of the occupation increased and crossed all red lines, especially in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. The occupation forces raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque increased, and they entered the blessed mosque with their shoes, and repeatedly assaulted our steadfast women by beating and dragging them… children snd the elderly…. and they prevented our people from entering the mosque…”
