We pray that they will be blessed with strength and wisdom to teach people loving-kindness (Metta) meditation and mindfulness (Satipaṭṭhāna) meditation, helping them to see the true nature of life. We also wish that the Buddhist monks may be able to clearly explain the Noble Eightfold Path to the people of the United States. May the people of the United States have a wonderful opportunity to experience the Supreme Buddha’s Path, accumulate merit in their lives, and follow the way toward Supreme Nibbāna. I’ve spent a lot of time recently in Northern Ireland, and the patriotism here is something else. Watching the bands today of the apprentice boys in Ballymoney was incredibly moving, every beat of the drum carried pride, passion, and a deep sense of loyalty. Loyalty to their culture, their heritage, their history, and to this great land. You can feel it in the atmosphere, in the people, in the way they stand and represent who they are. It makes you think… England could learn a lot from the men and women of Ulster.

We see it as just a series about two people who fall in love, who have their own journey and their own story. Our goal is to make the audience fall in love with the characters. And we know that in that aspect, we succeeded with "Gap The Series," because everyone enjoyed watching it. We didn’t feel like we had to learn something completely newjust that we had to do our homework in certain parts. #ฟรีนเบค #FreenBecky

Led by Bhikkhu Pannakara, the monks departed Rock Hill this morning and trekked along U.S. 21 through Fort Mill, stopping at Anne Close Springs Greenway. They'll arrive in Charlotte near Miller’s Flea Market in Pineville later today. As they entered Anne Close Springs Greenway before roughly 1,000 spectators, we witnessed a Paritta (Buddhist chant) and the tying of sai sin (a sacred string ritual), symbolizing protection, blessing, and the transmission of positive energy. From Pineville, they’ll continue up Westinghouse Boulevard to South Boulevard, making their way to their nightly stop at Marion Diehl Recreation Center off Tyvola. They’ll then walk through Plaza Midwood the following day, heading northeast, according to their map (check for updates). The monks are crossing 10 states on their journey (North Carolina is the seventh) from Texas to Washington, D.C., which began on October 26, 2025, and is expected to conclude on February 11, 2026. They are accompanied by their dog Aloka (whose name means light), a former stray from India, who first joined the monks on a previous peace walk, traveling over 1,864 miles. During its tenure, BRS didn’t notify the University's land in a timely manner. Now the Congress has taken it a step further, disregarding the ecological balance by trampling over University's extensive flora and fauna. The responsibility ultimately lies with the Chief Minister, who should focus on governance instead of replicating BRS-style land grabs to fill the coffers of the Gandhi family.
