I’m excited by the idea of everyone coming to conceptualise knowledge, particularly historical knowledge as a manufactured product. Something made from information, but distinct from information, something made for a purpose, which serves or does not serve that purpose.

Possibly the logical outcome of the imagined communities discourse. See this a lot in Welsh historiography, e.g. Kinnock saying with a straight face that Wales never existed etc
