enjoying THE PITT, but watching it alongside my first full E.R. watch-through really isn’t fair. even on a purely formal level, E.R. is so dynamic, so inventive with its camerawork & compositions...distinctly cinematic. makes the newer series feel flat, lackluster by comparison.

@HitFactoryPod You gotta remember ER premiered the season after JURASSIC PARK came out so Crichton was the biggest name in entertainment. NBC invested in this hard because Spielberg's name was on it, too. Most drama series in 1994 did not look like this.

@HitFactoryPod This is such a good point. The Pitt thrives on being a realistic portrayal. But ER just kept you in the edge of your seat and was always trying something new in terms of narrative or technicality.

🐰taehyun ended up saying it, but… back then, we did get hit while learning choreography. we literally learned through being hit. still, me and taehyun got hit a bit less and managed to get through it. we weren’t great, but there were trainees who were even worse than us…that’s right. these days, corporal punishment isn’t allowed. back then it happened, but now if anyone did that, it would be a huge problem
