My youngest sister called DFACS one time after a whipping from dad. The DFACS lady called the Sheriff for a deputy to be present when she went to my parents' house. Sheriff told her no. He said, "I know that girl, he ain't whipping her ass enough."

This never gets Old. Kids need to understand that there is a consequence for wrong doings. Yeah they got rights and all that but that don’t mean they won’t be disciplined when they misbehave else they would turn out rude, uncouth and unruly later in life. Parents should understand that allowing kids have their way all the time is Infact gonna ruin their lives in the long run.

I was spanked, or had the wooden spoon. My sister, never. Me? Successful career, own a house, retirement $. Her? 48, 3 DUI's, still lives w. Mom, no career, never graduated HS. Which method works? Installing responsibility or soft parenting?

i had one of my sons do that, threaten me with the cops for spanking him once. I told him. go ahead, it will take the cops 10 minutes to get here, that gives me 9 minutes to whoop your ass even more.
