Moore, 35, at the intersection of 26th St and 23rd Ave in Kenosha. Surveillance footage showed a silver BMW 320i, stolen from Justice, IL, pull up to Moore’s truck; a man in white, identified as Washington, exited and fired 15 rounds through the driver’s side window, striking Moore multiple times. Washington fled in the BMW, abandoned it blocks away, and switched to a dark-colored Jeep, later found running on Sheridan Rd with evidence, including a matching-caliber firearm. Moore was set to testify against Washington in a Lake County, IL, felony firearms sale case; Washington allegedly sold Moore a gun on January 13, 2021. After a five-month manhunt, Washington was arrested on May 27, 2022, in Tulsa, OK, after a bus passenger saw him move a handgun to his backpack, facing extradition for first-degree intentional homicide.
