I’ve been thinking about launching a line of headwear with simple tech designed to help people stay anonymous in public. These glasses would make an excellent addition to the collection. My main concern is that this could remain a very niche market. It reminds me of Face ID on smartphones: most of us dislike using it, yet manufacturers have made it nearly impossible to access our devices securely without it. I suspect that, in the near future, maintaining anonymity in public spaces will become similarly difficult, if not outright impossible, due to advancing surveillance and identification technologies.

Polarisers don't alwways block uv. Also they are very cheap to make. Those cheap glasses the 3D movie theatres use are the same stuff. Those use horizontal polarisation on one eye and vertical on the other.
