In other words, Ghana should condone wrong to make the citizens rich. You’re mad.

Ghana will progress when we stop politicizing everything and institutions are held accountable for their actions

Ghanaians knowingly and willingly violate laws and commit crimes, ignoring what they ought not to do. However, when the law catches up with them and accountability is demanded, they play innocent and seek public sympathy. Whoever authored the title 'Ghana is programmed to make its citizens poor' is a typical fool with all due respect and lacks a basic understanding of what it takes for a nation to progress and for its people to thrive. I commend the authorities for ensuring this incident did not go unpunished. It was a job well done, and I hope to see this standard of accountability sustained throughout the country.

I like the last sentence 🤦🏾♂️ Like how can a whole government come and sack public workers to settle political scores.Rendering them poor😩 NDC is for satan🥹

The owner right now:

So because the building is nice even if it poses threats to the well being of the public good it shouldn't be destroyed?? Do we really think as a country??

If we had brought down all these illegal structures earlier, 34 souls would not have perished in the flood. Keep complaining.

People for ghana be very ignorant so we just de do and talk anyhow This building is within the right of way and by this time the owner is somewhere chilling with his compensation.. u are here posting rubbish

What is right is right regardless Samira Bawùliar who's nobody was able to collapse Mr Oti Bonsu’s buildings with no power or any good reason to do that. Animals like your type will never speak on that because, she's your goddess. Mmoa

Wise up, chale. What kind of irresponsible blogging is this? Don’t mislead your followers with misinformation. Please take the time to read the facts of the case and the court’s ruling before publishing content.

I don’t know how some of you reason..🤦🏽 So what you are actually saying is that because the building is nice, authorities must spare it demolition at the expense of a road right? It doesn’t matter whether it was sited on a government land or not. Interesting.

If i become a lawyer these are the case I want to handle Sue Land Commission and municipal authorities for this especially if they gave permit to build there

I condone people building in places they’re not but I’m sure the owner applied for a building permit from the government and was given the go ahead. My concern is the issuance of building permit. They just collect money and give you the permit. We have a long way to go, smh 🤦

Don't just post for likes and comments, Just verified how everything went on before posting

Honestly, if the owner of the building has a permit to build, he should take the Municipal or District assembly to court and demand compensation. But if he doesn’t have a permit he should keep quiet and assist to clean up the mess for free. A good Ghanaian must be law abiding.

You are one of those people always ready to snitch when you have the opportunity. Can't you see clearly that the building is on the road? From the look of things, you could tell he was told, but because of his connection, he never listened. Stop disrespecting Ghana.

You won't even start a build in any well-functioning system but in Ghana, all u need is knowing someone who knows someone and a deep pocket. Yet we wanna blame the government if they enforce the law.

We need to demand prosecution of persons in government offices who issue permits for such buildings in inappropriate places as well. That way, we'll be shaping our society for the better.

I think we as Ghanaians need to follow the right processes to acquire lands and put up structures. We always want to cut corners and end up blaming others when disaster strick

Demolishing may have very good reasons but my problem is why wait till a lot has been put into it before you come crush it?

Hope the owner will be duly compensated

What has an individual building got to do with the nation especially when they build on water ways and build on lands that ain’t allowed. The fact that government encourages citizens to contribute towards the nation’s development doesn’t mean we can take the laws into our hands and do whatever pleases us. I don’t think the government of the day is so stupid to collapse such beautiful building if there hadn’t been any problem maybe at where the building was built. We need to go through the right channel before investing In whatever we wanna do .

But the place the building is situated is bad

Let’s us do the right things before time to prevent financial losses…. This should have been prevented…. Road network needs more spaces. We want Ghana to be better but we don’t want to sacrifice what we have to get the better things we want…. Black man’s wishes!!!!

Do you know why it was pulled down.? Even if it's for the greater good

Tsww. Ghana is not programmed to make anybody poor. Your shallow minds are costing you a foot and arm. Some of you know what you're doing is not permitted but you go and bribe people to overlook it and when the aw cathes up with you, you'll start finding excuses. Use your heads

Sometimes u go go inside na ebi some innocent pal's blood way them take do all these kinds of projects and their crying and prayers will make you lose everything u cheated them for. That's karma. I'm just saying it🤷

What happens to those who didn’t do their jobs well for the building to be on the wrong side of the road?

So who granted the permit for this project in the first place ?

@princearthuruk Nana aba sii u get chance rrr fly out oo She wasn’t joking when she said that

Let’s stop being emotional all times and face reality. These are difficult decisions but will help the country and safe citizens in years to come. Stop notice would have been served with reminders sent severally but ignored by the building owner due to his known connections.

But you where the building is, is it appropriate.

You will be the same to come complain if it’s cause a major problem like floods saying people are building in water ways. But I get you tho. They will watch the build and turn to collapse them while it’s 99 percent done. Everyone in Ghana is sick

If this is how you think you are part of the problem.

That was a dumb response to trying to stop ppl building houses illegally legally
