Yesterday in an attempt to conduct an oversight visit at Mamelodi Hospital. Our team did inform the hospital of my planned visit. Upon arrival, 9 security guards were called, and I was told by them and officials that the MEC has given instruction to deny me access. This is not legislated protocol. What it is, is evidence that this government is intent on being a PR machine, more than a service delivery one.
